I've noticed a problem with this Help file. In the conversation section it has example of how to make a conversation be changed when you talk to the NPC second time. Example doesn't work.

Dezmodian,
Wow..many thanks for the kind words.
I'm honestly amazed at just how much this guide has been talked about and it's great to see people finding it useful. As I've said before, knowing that it has helped just one person makes it all worth while.
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 30 that made this score of 9.03 then rounded to 9.

Howdy,
My sincere apologies for not getting back to this earlier, I've been doing some graphic work and I've too many irons in the fire.
Ok, first off my sincere appreciation for the comments, and I'm very happy to hear that your finding the guide to be a benefit to your building AND avoiding bad habits. 8)
Your comments really made this extra work worthwhile, and if it helps but one person create a module easier, then I've accomplished my goals.
As to a HOTU update, at this point I don't have it installed, so it would be difficult for me to add that data without doing a jump foreward over SOU.
Does that mean I won't update the guide at some point in the future ? Well, after this latest massive update, I can't say never, but unless I find enough scripts and more information to be covered, I'd say the odds are slim at this time.
My main concern was to include most of the data for the Aurora toolset, and some things just could not be included - unless you wanted to d/l a massive 60 meg file. lol
So, know that I'm here, and am still active in the community, and do have an eye out for new materials.
Cheers,
Reginald Silverleaf

This should be part of the toolset itself. Any builder without this will spend an inordinate amount of wasted time deciphering that which has already been deciphered. The rosetta stone of the Aurora Toolset.
Yes, this information can be determined on your own but ask yourself this question: why? Reginald Silverleaf has done a fantastic job of maintaining this and has shown no signs of faltering under the weight of his duty.
Reginald, I salute and thank you. You've made my life much easier!

Reginald,
I have been trying to promote your guide at each opportunity.
Even though I have been building for some time, I still find the document fantastic reference.
It also keeps me out of bad building habits. :-)
ALSO- If I wanted to put a link to this guide in my signature on the bioware boards, how do I do it.
The standard doesn't work for me.
Will you be doing any updates to include HotU, I know a lot of people are wanting to know how the Shop/tavern etc waypoints work.

Nissa,
Your very welcome. Your comment made the last month of work worth every second. Thank you ! 8)
I've posted a couple messages about the Guide in the toolset forum, but to be honest it always seems to get overlooked. However, since the update, there has been close to 1000 new d/ls of this guide and the Html version.
Thanks again,
R.S.

I think this should be advised more (more specifically on the Bioware boards), as it seems of excellent quality to me.
Thank you, Reginald :)

Just a small note here:
I've uploaded the HTML version zipped archive of this project to the Vault, so when it's available ( within the next 48 hours or so ), I'll be editing this entry and changing the WEB VERSION link to HTML Edition, and putting the link to it there.
The Print Option will be changed to Printer Friendly edition - but will be identical to what it does now.
Please note that both version are identical, it was just created to give you a choice of download type - be it Windows Help, or HTML Help so you won't need both. 8)
Cheers,
R.S.

Balthazar,
I'm still a beginner with scripts, but when I originally created this, I did so for my own use to help with the toolset. After talking about this with a couple people in the NWN community, they all said that I should make it available. So, almost a year has passed, and I still get the occasional email saying thanks.
It is suited for the beginner, and does take care of most of the toolset's features. I could not cover every single detail, or wizard without making this a huge d/l, but I'm hoping you find it useful.
Please let me know what your thoughts are when you have the time. 8)
Cheers,
R.S.

You could not uploaded this in a better time!
Hmmm, Is it suitable for a beginner? Will have to check it out...

Zip archive uploaded. It may take a bit for the changes to take effect. Sorry for the confusion.

Lilac,
Your correct about the alzip format. I'll go ahead an upload this as a zip archive asap. My appreciation for your honesty, and for taking the time to d/l the guide.
Thanks !

Am looking through it, and so far it looks good.
I don't really see the point of distributing this as a .alz file - I tried compressing it with winzip standard compression, and the .zip file was actually slightly smaller than the .alz archive. Of course, that doesn't make Alzip a bad program, since it handles that many formats - it just means that I see no reason to use their .alz format for distributing your stuff. A lot of people might not want to download this for the very reason that they don't know Alzip...

It may take a bit to reflect the changes, but the Updated Final has been uploaded. See my comments in a post below for full details on what was added.
As well, I have the HTML Help guide complete, and am awaiting a reply to whether it needs to be uploaded on this page, or a new one of its own. In any case, I'll let you know when its available.
Many thanks for your patience,
R.S.

I've not uploaded anything new as of yet. Just clarifying my last post, after recieving 2 emails asking where the new content was. All scripts are done now though, and work has begun on a HTLM help guide, which will allow printing.
Sorry for any confusion.

Howdy,
My sincere apologies for not seeing this sooner. You have an excellent idea here for a printable version. Give me a couple days while I get the new cpu up and running and I'll see if I can make the help guide printable. If not, I can always export the info to word and make a document.
If I don't get back to this right away - say within a week, please email me and drop a reminder.
Once again, thank you for the excellent feedback - and I'm glad that you find this d/l a benefit to your gaming experience.
Ciao,
R.S.

I would also love to see a printable copy. I have just entered into the building aspect of NWN and have found your help document to be very well done. A printable copy would vastly help in getting me off the ground. I hope you find this well...

Reginald Silverleaf:
Hey man, it was about time that someone made a decent help file for the Editor, thank you.
But I just would like to know if there isn't any printable version of the file that you could make available, so I could take my time and read in full.

zCyberSaint,
Many thanks for the comments..8)
As to a advanced conversation script, I may update this down the road, but at present with all of the advanced scripters available at the Scripting forum, you might have more success asking directly for a tutorial.
If there is a huge need for this feature, I would consider trying to find a couple advanced scripts and even produce an advanced script tutorial to add to this help guide.
Thanks for the suggestion, and once again for your comments.
Take care,
R.S.

I almost gave up on making conversations in my modules till I downloaded your tutorial. Now I can make and edit most conversations!! GREAT WORK!!!
Only question is .. do you have any plans to make an advanced conversation tutorial ?? :)
