This utility suite will dump ITP, UTX, GUI, and a few other file types to the console or to a file allowing you to view the in readable text, and will encode the dumped files back into ITP format. Comes with source for the curious among you. I worked with Zilax, the author of the version 2.00 (Beta Toolset) util, on this release, and we have used the file format from that version for clarity. This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 5 that made this score of 5.80 then rounded to 6.

Half a loaf is definitely not better than none, in this
case. If you can't get it working - and it doesn't - take
it off the air until it does!!!

Yeah, asc2itp is non-functional. I didn't have time to
fully test it and haven't lately had time to fix it.
itp2asc works with no bugs that I'm aware of.

Well, I encountered the "parse error" when attempting to
use asc2itp. The problem appears to be that the itp2asc
program doesn't create the correct syntax that is required
for asc2itp.
For every STRREF defined in your ascii file, you MUST end
them.
You can do this after the contents of the STRREF by adding
END STRREF, or you can put the END STRREF on the following
line.
However, after I worked this out, I found that the UTC I
was editing, was quite broken. The Class List was reduced
to blank data such that when I tried using this UTC, my
henchmen showed up as Barbarian Level 1 (both Boddyknock
and Linu). When looking at the asc2itp created .utc file
with ITP Tool, or Zoligato's viewer, I can see that the
data in Class List is gone..
It's a promising tool, but doesn't work quite right in
relation to BICs/UTCs. Perhaps a "END LIST" is required
after the Class list - I didn't try that, but there was no
syntax error anymore.
Hope this info helps someone :)

I got "parse error on line : 4" when using a command line
such as "asc2itp lumina.txt > lumina.bic" ! Where is the
problem ?
