Updated: 10/1/02 (Marked as v1.1 in the Tutorial) This Tutorial contains instructions on Pieces Parts Modeling, or creating new Creature Appearance Models based on individual parts of PC Models and Armor. This Tutorial will go step-by-step through the process of creating a PC Model with Armor in the Toolset, extracting the model and using the various pieces of the model to create a single .mdl file. This file can then be used as any other creature model, including being scaled, reskinned, or used as a polymorph object. I hope this Tutorial provides an easy to understand solution for people wanting to make single creature files from the pieces-parts of PC Models. Feedback and comments are always welcome and may be sent to the above E-mail.
It's not a zip file, so it doesn't have a download link. All "direct" files [in ready-use formats such as mp3, bmp, pdf, etc] will auto-load on click.
If you click the pdf file it will open and you will have to save it from there.

This was completely misleading. This is not a tutorial on modeling, this is a tutorial on duping toolset created creatures and adding them as creatures in the game. Not very useful.

Thank you!!! Just started 3d modeling and was hoping to find some good NWN specific tutorials and reference. You rock!
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 4 that made this score of 7.75 then rounded to 8.

To those of you who are having trouble viewing the file,
just right-click the link and select "Save target as",
choose a destination directory and, once it's downloaded,
open it up in Adobe Acrobat Reader yourself. Hope that
works!

I have updated the Tutorial to include a section on
creating the metallic shiny effect on the textures that are
created from NWN Viewer as .BMP files. I hope this helps
others achieve a higher level of realism and accuracy in
their custom models.

Had no problem downloading it.
Thanks, Harliquinn

Okay if you click the link, apparently it doesn't display
the PDF but if you hit refresh it appears to display it.
Odd. Looks like a nuance with the way NWN Vault is
displaying PDF's. I'm not sure how to fix it.

Hmm I too am having trouble clicking on the link and
having it display or download. However, if you Right-Click
on the Download Link and choose "Save Target As..." it
seems to work okay. I'm not sure why it doesn't work the
other way, my apologies.
