NWN Armory is a quick application that performs renaming, scaling rotating, and translating (new!) on NWN PC model parts to generate other model parts. Why would you want to do this? It is intended for two main reasons: 1) Creating all race models from a human template (you need to model the human male, female plus standard and large phenotypes). Normally you would need to make twenty more of those armour pieces for all the elves, halflings, etc. This utility will do that for you. 2) Creating all armour models for a new race. Say you want to create a brand new race (for use with CODI's Character Creator!). Tell NWN Armory how your new race differs from one of the standard races and it will create the hundreds of armor pieces you need. *** New! NWNArmory now translates vertices as well, it can affect the position vertex, and it accepts a range of vertices to affect.
Mr. Bombastik, the problem lies in the base model - you also have to scale pmg0, pfg0, pmg2, and pfg2 models. Otherwise the game attaches your new body parts to the old skeleton with funny results.
Wolfsong, attempts were made to scale the large pheno parts but a consistent set of transforms could not be found. Bioware apparently adjusted them by hand to make them look the way they do. A uniform scale on these pieces is not [email protected]

Sorry, I meant I scaled the halfling body and parts to 40%, except the head which was 60%.

I just tried this program and it's awesome. I used it to create a new race (actually to replace the gnome race with the Halfling models scaled to 60% original size). While it was great to make all the parts (it was a bit annoying tho that I could only select like, half of the parts each run) it saved me a lot of time - since 3d Max keeps crashing on me.
Anyway, when I actually resized pfa0 and pma0, it turned out ok except that the new gnome is now floating in the air. I know that a lot of people like to scale models *up* and they end up with half their bodies under ground. Any quick tip to solve this? I tried "translate" with a Z of +4 but all it does is break the model in a weird way.
OUCH-- forget it, it's not your fault.
It's a NWN bug with ##SetAppearance; if you are naturally halfling all works fine, while if you are a human and do ##SetAppearance 3, you retain the animation of the human model which is...mmh.. embarassing _________________________

GREAT. Any way to
1)convert normal to large phenotype
2)convert male to female and vice versa (obviously useless for chests, but it would be nice for everything else)

Very nice. This has helped alot. Has anybody made an ini for robes? _________________________ "I'll sit myself behind this clock, and sing tunes on its belfry!

I have downloaded this twice, but all I get from it is NWN Viewer. Is the link broken? Or am I just missing something?

Wow, this is great. Not surprising, since it was your custom content guide that even got me interested in making things. Thanks!

He has a point in that you don't need it. You could spend countless hours resizing your model over and over again, OR you could use this at have it all done for you. Thi program is no less than brilliant. Having recently started modelling armour, I was getting bored to tears with all teh repeatativity, and to clear that all away means I can do about 2 more armours in the space it would take to do one.

What a highly articulate outburst. I am very impressed. I particualrly like all the links to your absolutely stunning work, to show us all how it should be done, as an informed comparison. Your contribution to the community is so subtle as to be virtually non-existent. Homophobia as well. Two stereotypes for the price of one, truly we are blessed by your wisdom.
Meanwhile, back in reality, thanks for this Eligio. I have had a quick look and it is as professionally done as your custom content guide, without which things would have been as misunderstood as A Critic. Without your guide I would never have worked out hak packs in under a month as opposed to a matter hours. Thanks for all your efforts.
I know they say we should look for commonality between peoples, as opposed to the differences, and that all are entitled to an opinion but in regards to A Critic's drivel, surely somewhere a village is missing it's idiot :) Maybe if we started a charity fund we could collect enough to have him/her sent back. Actually, any village would do, prefeably one in a rain forest with no communication with the outside world. Anyway, must dash, I must remove all the many viruses I have downloaded as as I am such a loser. Poor me. Bless :)

Okay, I admit, I'm new at this and am somewhat lost...is there any way to get at the models/textures etc from the game itself?
Where would I find them and how would I extract them, or can it not be done?
Thanks

The current program can do it. The problem is that folks have tried to make an .ini file with those transforms in it but were not successful. The large pheno is not a simple scale/rotate. Some parts of the model are scaled more than others (e.g., the front of the abdomen on the male torso is scaled much more than the back or any other part to create a beer-belly). With the current version of the program (now that it accepts ranges of vertices to scale) you might be able to do it but it would require multiple passes.

Hi there,
Just to know if you'll release a version of your NWNArmory.ini able to create the pf?2_ and pm?2_ parts, for large phenotype, from pfh0_ and pmh0_ parts ?
'cause that would be great ; )

N00b has the exact same meaning as newbie except N00b is used for people that shout for help. Newbie is used for people that ask normaly. An example of a n00b would be nathan. :)

I have to agree this is a fantastic program, I have been using it for all of mine outfits.
Thank you for making it, you have save me a lot of hours.

Eligio ...all i can say is this is $%^&ing HUGE , i do ALOT of pieces anf parts modeling and this is an invaluable tool.
I can hardly wait to try it out

Hmmm.... with this someone who understand it could be able to release an override HAK so we get taller elves. :)
Myslef, I didn't get much as I open the file where is showed how to make your own resize setting. :P But I didn't try long, no time for it.
