This is a small utility that allows you to easily manage your saved characters. Any suggestions and features you'd like to see are greatly appreciately.
If you like it, please vote and leave feedback on what was good and what needs work. If you have voted for old versions, please update your vote (at least the feedback comments) so I can see if people feel it's improved - there are still votes here that haven't changed since the old feature-lite version 2 days!

One thing that will cause a problem is clashing between Obsidian class IDs and PRC class IDs. As of the current version, Obsidian's Warpriest and Eldritch Knight clash with PRC's Ocular Adept and Battlerager (respectively). _________________________ Author: Neverwinter Nights 2: Uncensored Character Names UI Mod Neverwinter Nights: Character Manager Plus 4.0 Bard Song Calculator Place your votes for modules and tools that you like (not just mine!) - make the author happy! :)

So you know, the recent delay has been the result of work and home PC issues. I'm almost set up properly again on my new machine (priority was, of course, play NWN2 with setting up dev tools coming later :) ) The next release will be the final dedicated NWN1 release but initial investigation has shown that NWN2 files are identically structured (BIC3.2) so hopefully the NWN2 versions can be used for NWN1. If there are any discovered problems, I *may* backport from time to time but I cannot guarantee it. Also, this will be the final Java 1.4 release. I know that MacOS X supports Java 1.5 so there shouldn't be too many problems (assuming the NWN2 versions work fine with NWN1) _________________________ Author: Neverwinter Nights 2: Uncensored Character Names UI Mod Neverwinter Nights: Character Manager Plus 4.0 Bard Song Calculator Place your votes for modules and tools that you like (not just mine!) - make the author happy! :)

Sounds sweet. I can't wait. But I have to. :)

The character sheet in 4.1 is going to be fairly simple: two tabs, one with the main character record (race, alignment, level; strength, dexterity, constitution, intelligence, wisdom, charisma; AC, HP; XP, next level XP) and the other with things like age, deity, and description. I'm keeping it simple with the release of NWN2 next month I don't want to spend time adding too much functionality which cannot be reused in the port to NWN2. Your screenshot idea I like. It would link in quite nicely with an idea posted a while back on adding custom information to characters - both would be on a per-character rather than per-file basis though but I can see ways to do it :) Character editing - I want to add support for changing things like description, age, deity, and name but this is likely to be only in NWN2 unless the file types are almost identical. Still, we'll see how things go :) _________________________ Author: Neverwinter Nights 2: Uncensored Character Names UI Mod Neverwinter Nights: Character Manager Plus 4.0 Bard Song Calculator Place your votes for modules and tools that you like (not just mine!) - make the author happy! :)

Great. Looking forward to dl'ing next ver. :) Really keen on knowing more on the new char sheet feature you mentioned before, too. Couple questions. Would it be possible to see/add screenshots, in the upcoming char sheet? Would it be possible to incorporate an edit feature, or invoke an external editor directly?

Well, I spent two days testing and bug fixing so any bugs found got past me so I couldn't possibly critisise :) Just fixed that and found another bug (localvault inactive table didn't allow selection of the 'Gold' column) which is now fixed. _________________________ Author: Neverwinter Nights 2: Uncensored Character Names UI Mod Neverwinter Nights: Character Manager Plus 4.0 Bard Song Calculator Place your votes for modules and tools that you like (not just mine!) - make the author happy! :)

So you're not going to hold it against me if I tell you I forgot to report another unexpected feature, will ya? ;) In the Inactive panel, "Level" should probably read "Index", since it doesn't show char's actual level, but its index # instead.

hehe Actually, the problem you found is quite an important one - it meant that a change I made may cause problems to people upgrading from a previous version. Don't put yourself down - a spot like that is the kind of thing I even wish my colleagues at work could do let alone the people who test this! Thanks again :) _________________________ Author: Neverwinter Nights 2: Uncensored Character Names UI Mod Neverwinter Nights: Character Manager Plus 4.0 Bard Song Calculator Place your votes for modules and tools that you like (not just mine!) - make the author happy! :)

Ah! Found the prob. Now it makes sense. I took a peek at the properties files myself, and I discovered the localvault and servervault folders are now fixed! I can't set them manually anymore! A clear case of User Failure to Read the Forsaken Menu! :D Well, I hadn't noticed you had added the servevault option, so I was stubbornly filling the first field with my localvault main folder, and the second one with my locavault archive. That's why you don't have betatesters like myself. Sanity. Retaining a shred of.

Now why couldn't I have had someone like you helping with beta testing - this is great stuff, thanks :) Could you email me the properties file with the settings that make it go odd? I'm having trouble understanding exactly what's going on and just figure it would be easier if I see it myself :) My main email is dead at the moment (wonderful provider I have :/) so I'm down to Hotmail at the moment: cyanide_suicide@hotmail.com _________________________ Author: Neverwinter Nights 2: Uncensored Character Names UI Mod Neverwinter Nights: Character Manager Plus 4.0 Bard Song Calculator Place your votes for modules and tools that you like (not just mine!) - make the author happy! :)
