We have updated the Character Creator to coincide with our 3.2 release. It now comes with an executable file that will make operation even easier.
Users can now hear the voicesets when selecting them! Allows you to customize your character with over 50 races, 11 new base classes, and more than 200 new feats when used with the PRC Using a custom hak, and your standard NWN data files, it reads, parses, and allows different characters depending on your entries, similar to the regular character creator within NWN. This program, however, allows much greater customization, and also allows many options not available in the regular in-game creation tool. Custom races, spells, feats, familiars, companions, soundsets, NPC portraits, NPC soundsets, NPC appearances, and more are all available with this tool. Make your tattoos visible on only your left forearm. Make your character a golden color, or completely black. All this is easily done with this program.
Based off of the CODI Character Creator program.
Choose the download appropriate to your Operating System then follow the instructions below Complete Instructions Basic Instructions: Windows: Download the Windows file, extract it to a folder, and double click the CharacterCreator.exe file.
Linux/Mac: Download the appropriate file, extract, and run the CC.jar using "java -Xmx300m -jar CC.jar" on the command line from the appropriate folder.
Man stupid program with no instructions took me 3 hrs to figure. I'm just gonna spill everything I know to get it to work and make it a hell lot easier for everyone.
1. Unzip all the files to a folder in nwn directory.
2. Make a new folder called portraits
3. In settings put the following prc haks
prc das, race and textures
4. In setting click on custom talk and put the prc_consortium.
Everything should work fine now unless you have a different problem I cannot comprehend.
When I click the aligment button it freeze's or something any help?

Also, i forgot to mention not to touch anything else. It auto starts on ok, choosing anything else screws it up.

Just fixed my problem. When you get to that part, just hit the spacebar. You can use Leto later to change your appearance.

I am also having problems with the character creator. In the Customize portion, there is no OK button, only part of a cancel button. Anyone know how to fix this, would be greatly appreciated.
I keep getting the "No Settings information found. Please run Settings." error. The character creator used to work fine, but I moved the neverwinter nights folder and installed 3.3g since.
Ive read the online install manual. I have the latest JRE. I updated all the paths for the three hack files to correct for my moving the neverwinter folder and ive tried opening from the .bat, .exe and .jar files, all giving me the same error. What else could be the problem? Thanks.

Hi! I have installed the Mac version and tried to use. But after clicking "Portrait" button, this character creator thinking forever. Does this CC have some trouble when too many portraits are installed?

Great tool, can we get the option of putting in the subrace info also in the program? Thanks :) you can still click the ok button it very small along the left click on the little dots in the bottom left corner.

Hmm something changed either by my computer settings or the creator. I no longer can select the Ok button in Customize, the cancel button is barely clickable either.

I would no more consider creating a character without this utility than I would consider playing NWN without a keyboard.
I was really looking forward to using the character creator but I keep getting the same damn message "chitin.key file missing"!! I've alreday tried a lot of things but nothing works! I've got Win Vista is that a problem?
I've gotten this to work, but now I have a kind of stupid question: The Character Creator works fine all the way through, until I'm ready to finalize. For some reason, I can't click the finalize box. I've done everything to my character otherwise.
I installed the prc pack but i dont have races i only have classes.

PRC did a good job on this with one exception. Even though there are a LOT more voice sets to choose from, 70-80% of them don't work in-game. Why release them as a part of the character creator if they don't work in-game?
I've got a bit of a problem. Every time I try to make a character, I get to the portrait portion and the program tells me "Error reading [such and such .tga file] Out of memory. Error:java.io.EOFException. I have no idea what this means. The really frustrating thing is that this only happens with certain races. Most notably humans and elves. Anybody know how to fix this?
I uninstalled and then reinstalled everything and it still doesn't work. Could it be because I have CEP installed as well?

I recently downloaded the PRC v3c, and with it this charactor creator. I am running off of windows xp with java v6.3 and .NET v3.0. When I open the .jar, the cc window displays as expected, but when I select "create character," it loads to 100%, then disappears. I have followed the steps listed in the FAQ several times over, and the .bat file does the same. Any suggestions? _________________________ -- Luckly for you I've got morals ... You need to create a portraits folder in your NWN directory. Also, the PRC character creator is very fussy about portraits. So, have the portraits folder empty when running it.

I'm having the same problem. The PRC works just fine but I can't get the character creator started. Funny thing though, I had this working a year ago on a friend's computer when I first got NWN. But now that I have my own to play on I can't get this to work. I'm familiar enough with mods and all. Does this only work with a version of Java that is no longer around or something?
I seem to be having the same problem as Anolion and Aderyn. I set the PRC files in the settings just fine, but when I go to create the character, theres a short .tlk loading sequence and then nothing comes up. I even downloaded a PRC CC launcher created by SnottyIrishman, but I can't get it to work. I have the latest version of Java, so I don't think that's the problem... but honestly, at this point, I'm frustrated and confused. Did anyone ever get an answer to that question? I'd love some help.
