NWNSC2 is a front end for the NWServer.exe provided by Bioware for Neverwinter Nights. NWNSC lets you modify all the key features of the NWN server program and some hidden ones as well. You can save all of your options with NWNSC, whereas in the NWServer.exe you cannot. also to all you people not able to get the program running. try downloading the most resent .net environement update from microsoft (you may need to run windows update several times). its a 21 meg download from the microsoft website, or you can just google ".net framework"

i may be getting back into developing this soon. but with college im kinda swamped right now. As you can imagine programming this took several weeks and updating it after such a long break requires some intensive work. I will look into all suggestions and try to update the download link soon.

No comments or fixes on the previous post?? :(
Ahh well, I'm back, and witha couple of 'wishlist' items.
With the new .ini options added in 1.64 I thought perhaps adjusting these could be incorporated into this program.
A slider for setting Max Memory and a check box for the AutoFail on 1 option. Perhaps other .ini based options could be included too. Perhaps in a 'preferences' dialogue seperate from the main screen.
uh small prob the link is broken cant DL your file im realy interested in it.. I have tried several times the link but it doesnt want to work.. Is it on your comp.. or on another server.. oh well guess ill try back later..

Azmathiel and Gomisan. I have only had this do it to me once or twice. I just retype in the name. I never thought is to be a bug. But it could be. I use this everyday, and the server runs 24/7 thanks to hubby having a spare pc.
I do again want to thank Ultmage for all the little changes he made. Gigglem they were done for me.. :)

I was looking at setting the timed restarts, but realised that it can only be done on a 'Time of Day' basis.
Which led me to think of a couple of suggetsions.
1) A more flexible restart timer. Perhaps one that is able to restart every x hours. SO I could restart every 12 hrs, or every 48 hours, or even every hour.
2) A custom message that can be sent to the server before a restart is due. With a gradual count down...
eg:
The server will restart in 10mins, please finish what you are doing.
The server will restart in 5 mins, prepare to log off
The server will restart in 30 secs, please wait 3 mins before logging back in.
Also, I've noticed the crash detection and restart process works a LOT better with a more generous gap between tests (I now use 60 secs) and a delay after starting of about 2 mins.

I haven't been able to reproduce the behaviour.
But I am concerned that it may not be properly detecting server crashes. In that it seems to be restarting the server occasionally when there is no need.
I'll watch this as closely as I can, because it is very annoying to have the server restart for no reason, and without warning. :)

im not sure why you are having that problem. you might ask sweetcheeks if she has seen a similar error. she is my resident debugger.

I just had a NWN server crash and your program restarted the server OK, but without a server name or other settings.
It's crashe dbefore, and restarted it OK, and if I use your tool to shutdown and start the server it works fine.
Any clues as to why it may not have restarted with all the right settings. (yes they are saved)
What is the option "suppress base serveurvault" ? What does it do ?----
Currently working on a new PW in french.
Yes, i don't usully speak english.

that has to do with cdo and your outlook installation. nothing i can do about it except to say to install cdo or update your windows with any new windows update packs.

The error message seems that you dont have the Microsoft Outlook or the Colaborate Data Objects (CDO) installed...
