Sadly this project has come to end, for now and will stay in beta.
Perhaps we'll see again when NWN 2 is released...
Keep building.

This is a preliminary vote as I haven't made much use of it's functionality.
BETA 2:
*) Removed linked XP theme manifest and functions...
*) One dll's (osvddll.dll) code written to application and thus removed dll need.

I get the "Unable to locate DLL" error to. Win 2000 runningas admnistrator:
The dynamic link library Kernel32 could not be found inteh specified path... (lists my path)
The file KERNEL32.DLL exists in \WINNT\system32 which is specified in the path. The group Everyone has read/execute.
Nice work! As a fellow Delphi guy I was fiddling around with something similar so I could do my work on my incredibly old laptop, but then I saw this. :) Cool stuff.
If you are using Windows NT/2000/XP, are you running it with user with Administrator privileges?
If you do not, Windows does not allow NSSEditor (You) read from registry to find out where you have installed NWN. It does not also allow NSSEditor to write to registry and to its installation directory, where editor keeps its configuration file.
One solution (and 'safest') is to run NSSEditor with user who has Administrator (not Power user) privileges.
Another solution can really mess your computer, if you do something wrong, so I am not going to suggest that.

Does the error dialog have caption like: 'Exception handled: Exception Manager'.
If it does, press Ctrl+C to copy text to clipboard and then paste it here.

What Windows and Internet Explorer you are using?---

It is updated... Got enough time to finish it up... ;)

Thank you Skyrmir for your comments and suggestions!
Yes, I am working on v2.0, but school and work are taking almost all my free time, but I am slowly making progress... :)
Q: "How do you get rid of the bottom window when you are not using it?" A: In v1.x you cannot. v2.x will have different Lexicon implementation (better or worse, who knows...).
1) I probably remove spell checking from v2.x, but I leave support for it, if anyone wants it back...
2) If this can be adjusted in component, I make option for it.
3) v2.x will have MDI interface, so you can keep one NSSEditor open with numerous scripts.---

Now that I have been using the editor a while, I have a few comments:
1) I do not have the Borland Delphi stuff, so cannot use the spell checker. This is ok, but it would be nice to have an option that suppresses that notice at startup as well.
2) Double-clicking on text selects white space-to-whitespace, instead of the toolkit's choice of alphameric. I much prefer the alphameric - it makes substitutions much easier (such as tag values surrounded by quotes).
3)When the editor is minimized, it would be nice if the id next to the icon was the filename being edited, instead of just NSS Editor. I frequently edit several files simultaneously, and that would help identify which was which.
Thanks for considering these suggestions!

Great product! Dunno why it took me so long to find it ...
It is wonderful to be able to edit a script and look at toolset items at the same time - who remembers all the tags, resrefs, and properties? I certainly don't! And to have the Lexicon a click away is true luxury, not to mention the most useful command of all, Undo.
Question: How do you get rid of the bottom window when you are not using it? It's gotta be simple, but I am at a loss.
Thanks, and I hope you are still planning release 2.0

Excellent work. Has all the right features. It does everthing the toolset editor does and more. Especially appealing is the fact that I can look at toolset items while I am editing a script - that is very important to me.
Would be cool if I can change the font since you can't in the main editor without the text messing up. But it isn't working for me.. think the program is buggy or something? not that Im getting errors.
mr_bumpkin:
I'll try to fix that for next version.
Component which I am using, is little out-dated.
I either update it(,if it is possible) or find a new one.
Next version will be completely rewritten, because I am adding some new features (multi document interface[MDI], search and replace, ...) to it.

Hmm, well I seem to have narrowed down my issue to the Compiler having issues with the nwn directory not being found...I"ll go post on his page and try for help. But thank you for your timely response :)
