This is a simple client modification to make later versions/expansions of NWN feel more like the original. Most files sit in your override directory and won't interfere with your various modules and custom contnent, nor will they cause problems in multiplayer. Instructions are provided for adding and removing individual features as desired. Features include: - Original ad-free loader, main menu, and module info screens. - Original OC portraits; Sharwyn, Tommi, Xanos, Fenthick, Nasher, Sados, and a player female gnome portrait. - For HotU owners, original NWN theme music and blue background for the loading GUI. - For SoU and HotU owners, original Aribeth loading and saving screens. - Original healing kits with red cross. Check the readme.txt for install instructions. Leave a comment if you have an idea for other client aspects that can be 'restored.'
Thank you for this mod. I can't stand the mess they made of Tomi's portrait. I mean, honestly, a little green man you can't even see? I loved Tomi's original portrait with muscles and sideburns. So again, thanks.

The red crosses on the healing kits where removed because the Red Cross (The organization) didn't want their logo to be associated with the violionce of NWN.
*Shrugs* I don't see much if not any differance at all from the screenshot posted to my screens on NWN :| _________________________ Don't do to a friend what you wouldn't want him to do to you.
This is a great package. The changes over time haven't been particularly annoying - The SoU loadscreens and HotU main theme were the biggest joy-bringing changes so far, and I don't really mind the new running animations *now*... but I kind of find the ads in game itself annoying (well, I actually have more problems with the current color scheme and all, grr). Thanks a lot!

I think there may be some clipping issues with robes, too, on those old animations. Might want to test that. Me, I hardly every use robes (even my casters have some melee) so I'm in armor most of the time. Even if there are some, I'd still prefer the old.
The female helms might also cause a problem. I have the 1.66b3 installed and they look great, by the way.
That's a good idea, although I'll need to check if they have any conflicts with the new female helmet fix. Will need to make a new music 2da for 1.66 so I'll throw those in as well if it will work.
How about the old running animations? I hate the newer, which were put in to better accomodate drive cam, which I never use.

The red cross isn't directly symbolic of the crucifixion.
The Swiss national Henri Dunant founded the red cross organisation. The red cross on white background is actually just the inverted Swiss flag.
Of course the Swiss flag is itself derivative of Christian symbology so there is a connection there.

You've got to be kidding me....Well, I wonder what the Templars might say about that..... _________________________ "I'll sit myself behind this clock, and sing tunes on its belfry!

Yes, the red cross gets anal about stuff like this.
