The NWNInstaller can from a zip/rar file install addons (modules, portraits etc.)to Neverwinter Nights (with or without expansions), and will automatically extract and place the files in the correct directories. The user can during install select deselect which files to include/exclude from install. Installed files are saved in a database and can later be uninstalled either by uninstalling the entire addon-installation or by pressing the 'Show Details' button for an installed addon and deselect one or more files It is possible to install eg. a module series as one install by installing the first zip/rar file as new install and update the existing install for the remainder of the archives. The database will also handle multiple installations using the same file and not uninstall the file until the last installation using the file is uninstalled. See the nwninstaller.txt for more info
Sorry that I haven't seen your post until now. I believe you should simply rename the .exe files to .zip and try again, if that's not the case drop me a mail and let's discuss further.
Hi,
I am trying to retrieve my old modules which I used your installer to turn into EXE files back in 03. However if I try and run the old exe I get file too big for memory. I have 4 gigs and I am running Enlgish XP sp2. I just want to access the original files. Is there a way to reverse the exe back into zip/rar file to get at the module and addons inside?
OK, as promised I've updated the program to display the installations alphabetically, I still wonder how I could miss that :-)
While I was at it I also updated the unrar.dll to the latest version.
The update is mostly cosemtic, but if you decide to take it just install it on top of your old installation and be sure to tell the installation program not to overwrite the NWNInstallations.mdb file.
Ooops... You are of course correct about that mef616161, an obvious mistake that the list is not sorted alphabetically.
I will fix it as soon as possible (no later than the upcoming weekend).
Thanks for finding the error.

This is very nice. One suggestion: How about a way to alphabetize the list of installed modules? That would be *very* helpful, as right now it's just in order of installation.

I've updated the installer to 1.0.1, but nothing major only cosmetics..
I've added an hourglas mosue cursor for when installing large archives and further I managed to get the file open dialog when selecting archives to show both *.zip and *.rar archives at the same time..
NOTE:
If you have the previous version installed and decide to upgrade you can install on top on the old installation, just remember to say NO when the install prompts you on whether you wish to overwrite the NWNInstallations.mdb file since that is the database file containing all your installation info.

Best thing to happen to NWN since the game itself came out!
I hope it will be usefull even for those who have winrar..
The "automatically" extraction of the files the right locations and the database functionaltiy should save time and eventually harddrive space since one can easily uninstall things without having to remmember which .had file belonged to which module and whether other modules use it etc.
