This tutorial explains how to deal with situations where models have the same name and you need to change them so that they can be included in the same hak pak. You can find this tutorial here as well.

Ahh, ObsidianSS is not just for .NET editions of Windows,
it is for any machine running a .NET framework. The .NET
framework and MS Windows are to seperate things. There is
a .NET release for Windows 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000 and XP.
There is a Mac & Linux .NET framework being created as
well as for other flavors of Unix.
The .NET framework is the same thing as the JRE for Java,
you cant run a Java program without the JRE, you cant run
a .NET program without the .NET framwork.

Yeah u can rename .mdl files with ObsidianSS plus u can
change the skin, plus u can scale the monsters. :) Great
tool. It also renames the mdls properly (it changes every
single reference inside the mdl) :)

Of course, the Obsidan SS is only for those using
the .NET editions of windows. Without that, you cannot use
it. So there is still room for new ways too skin (and
model) a cat.
