nwn_dds_decomp is a command-line application that allows you to convert all the DDS textures inside an HAK or an ERF back to TGA, so that they can be read by older video cards (such as Riva TNT or Matrox G550). Includes Windows and Linux binaries.

I�m the original author of this program.
It's amazing someone could notice a program I wrote two years ago and release an improved version of it. Although the modifications are minor they include critical bug fixes. That�s great. Thank you.
Feel free to ask if something isn�t clear about the code.
By the way I had some difficulties to extract the files. The filename is �.tar.gz� but the content is in plain tar format (not gzipped)

I had some trouble at first too ... can't remember exactly what I did, but I finally got it to extract using WinRAR. I think I used "view file" first, found there was a directory inside the archive, entered that, then extracted.
