TSC - Tileset Creator v2.0 is a scriptset suite for
3dsMax that allows the tileset creator to manage
and create .set files from within 3dsMax.
It comes with a series of objects that represent
easily manageable .set entries.
These objects are supported by a GUI panel called
'.set manager' , a powerful .set editor,
which allows major .set edits that otherwise could take days.
It comes with tools to delete complete terrains at the click of a button.
Create new tilesets, add new entries or modify existing ones in seconds, etc.
It also comes with an easy to use mapimage maker that will
create mapimages complete with door markers for complete
tilesets (or parts of it) in no time.
The basic use of this tool is explained by a set of tutorial videos.
More of these, displaying the advanced features, will follow.
TSC has been tested thoroughly and has been used in the
development of at least 7 tilesets, so it's safe to say
it's free of any major bugs.
Note that some of the features require a NWmax installation.
Incase you don't know the .rar format go here: www.rarlabs.com
Make sure you visit http://velmar.dladventures.com/tsc/ for the complete documentation
and more tutorial files.
These are the .swf (flash) tutorial movies.
You should be able to open them with any browser.
This package also holds 2 3dsMax6 files with the scenes used in the tutorials.

Velmar, you have truly saved me hours of work with you tool, thank you a lot for this... I have to confess I was almost giving up on making a custom tileset for my NWN LAN group, I am extremely grateful for your support of this community. Thanks, praise be to you.
In fact, I think I'm going to register to vote for this excelent utility.

Possible to add CEP placeables to Tileset creator?
Is there a way this could be used to make random tilesets and placeables?
Danmar
Thanks for the pointer -
You're right, it is a little confusing,
and only based on the fact that maxscript arrays are 1-based
as opposed to the 0-based .set entries.
I'll adjust that in the next version.

Been waiting for this for awhile for the map image portion.
One small thing. The map images spinners run from 1 to x rather than 0 to x. I can see valid points for both ways but I was a little confused at first when I was trying to render tile 1303 and wasn't getting anything and then popped the listener to see that it was saying it was part of a group. Then I noticed the tile name was different and then picked up the fact that tile 1303 in the tile list is 1304 in the map image spinner because of differing numbering between the two.
