Added pregenerated MySQL and SQLite DB files for those who use PRC 3.1e. If you have altered the 2das in any way, you should precache yourself.
Updated to include an tweaked installation file and improve the precacher. It is now a matter of a few minutes to precache all of the PRC.
This is an server package for the PRC, available in self-install and manual-install editions. This should only be installed after the main PRC packages. To make full use of this you should be using PRC 3.2 or higher.
More detailed install information is in server_pack_install.html, mostly useful if you are doing a manual install.
This package includes:
NWNX 2.6.1
NWNX-ODBC 0.9.2.4
NWNX-Letoscript build 23 beta 4
NWNX-Profiler 1.60
SQLite 3.3.6
Precacher, part of prc.jar
NWNX for Linux 2.5.3rc1 (source plus precompiled binary)
You do not need to download anything else, but for reference:
NWNX and NWNX-ODBC are avaliable from Link Source code for these applications are in nwnxsrc.exe and odbc2src.exe in accordance with the lisence.
NWNX-Letoscript is avaliable from Link SQLite is avaliable from Link The Precacher is based on a version made for the PRC by Yuritch, but rewritten into java by the PRC. As a jar file its source code is included in the jar
For full instructions, see the PRC Web site. In particular see the PRC Server Pack installation instructions, Here.
and add a string key called "Location" and put the root of your NWN install/server install/whatever in there, and it should work.
Yes, a manual override would be nice, but it can be worked around. _________________________ Cherish always the memory of the fallen.

Cannot be used with the Dedicated server even though its a "Server Pack" as it requires registry entries for Windows.

It would be nice if the PrC didn't insist on making checks to the registery to make these installers run or at least released the pieces for those of us that use dedicated servers or non-standard install paths.
As setup these utilities are almost worthless as most "Servers" cannot run them.....

To get precacher sqlite.bat to work with MYSQL go into precacher sqlite.ini and make the seventh line: UseMYSQL=True

Ok nevermind on the precacher hanging, fixed it. However related question, I see in program that the precacher can output mysql syntax instead of sqlite, this would be ideal for me, could you perhaps enlighten me as to what I would need to change in the batch file to have out.sql become a mysql importable script?
thanks :)

I'm having an absolutely bizarre problem with this software. It reads the first few 2das just fine, then feats/spells/skills come up with, Warning: No data found at line of .2da, then after a time the program freezes solid and I have to kill it to make it go away...
Having similiar problems with precaching switch in 2.3a8 and mysql, I start my server it takes a bloody million years, (I let it run 18 hours) and it has cached racialtypes, sounds, and appearance, but nothing at all else.
Messing with the various sql varieties is slowly driving me sane...
Oh on a side note, I wondered what version of letoscript is in this file, I know I need build 18 for convocc to work, but when I tabbed over the version installed by this package it says build 16, so I went and downloaded build 18 from leto site, but the .dll I got from there is like 1/6 the size of yours and it still says build 16, argh!
Any help for the databasedly impaired would be very strongly appreciated, thanks :)

We might, however, very few people on the PRC team know much about Linux. So, if there are linux users out there who wish to help us set up an equivalent program for Linux, it would be highly appreciated. _________________________ Head of the Player Resource Consortium http://www.nwnprc.com
