This is a launcher app for PRC's Character Creator. As many folks seemed to have a difficult time understanding what to do after they downloaded it, I decided to write this. It logs all output to cc.log in addition to creating a simple, easy to understand interface to PRC's wonderful Character Creator.
This is the newly updated version 1.3. It now checks your present version of java to make sure that it is compatible with the version of java that the character creator requires.
This is a Win32 (Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, XP) only executable. Versions for Linux and MacOS to come.
Works with any version of the Character Creator with a filename of 'cc.jar.'

Dr. frautious? I had the same problem you did. Do NOT add the 2 2das. haks, it prevents it from starting. Without them you cannot start with a custom class, but you can still choose a custom race.
Yea this didn't help me either.*Sigh* Too bad it hasn't been updated in 2 years

Unfortunatly this is outdated and does not work with the current version of PRC. I was hoping this would fix my problem, but it turned out to be files that were older than the Character Generator itself!

Don't use Latin improperly (Lupis means grey, Rufus is red, Canid is dog, so on.) Furries annoy me with their improper usage of such. And I'm a furry!!! Ugh...
Don't vote for Beta things unless told they are finished, unless posted specifically by the author.
Don't abuse the vote and post function, don't vote for your own/friends stuff just to get a high vote. Don't flame vote either just to be an ass.
There is a voting system for how the points are used, even I forget, but we should follow it (and tattoo it to our forehead, lol)

BRILLIANT!!! I was having trouble gettin the char creator 2 wrk with vista, and this did just the trick!! Kudos!
I have the same problem as Dr.Faustus. Has anybody come up with a solution?

(Origionally an email to the PRC site, but my email server is down): "I recently downloaded the PRC v3c, and with it the most recent charactor creator that I could find (1.6). I am running off of windows xp with java re v7.0, and when I open it, the cc window displays as expected, but when I select "create character," it loads to 100%, then disappears. I have followed the steps listed in the FAQ several times over, and the .bat file does the same. Any suggestions?"

when I double click the start file it sends me to javas website, but just 20 minutes ago I installed the latest friggin version.
What do I do now?

I think it would be useful if you could see a preview of the character you are creating, if thats possible. Also, how do you select hakpack heads for your character? For example, the Final Fantasy Heads.
