Slight warning: Contains nudity if being covered in fur is considered to be 'nude'. You make the call. :-)
Ng'ket is the second portrait I have done for the wemic model by Eligio and Ghostfactory which is also included in the CODI character creator. The update to their model isn't ready yet, but I have been given the go-ahead to release the portrait. Go easy on me, this is the first time I have undertaken such a tricky lighting situation(I put the whole painting aside for about a month to mull over how in the world I was going to do it). I hope the result is satisfactory. :-)
ps. There is no 'nudity' in the in-game pictures, just the large image (sorry guys.)
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 10 that made this score of 7.99 then rounded to 8.

Human women have less breasts because they have less children. They have less children because the size of the brain/head of human infants. So a humanoid critter like a wemic would also have relatively few offspring. And how do you know she doesn't have more, err, underneath? ;)

So like... shouldn't she have six of them? HA! I crack no-one up. All joking aside, awesome pic. Very fresh.

very nice job! the fur does look great and the lighting is superb. the overall pose seems a bit stiff, though. but a great portrait, nonetheless.

Heh. I guess I can't win. When I do a more modest painting, people say "whatcha coverin' her up for?" and when I don't bother with it, people say "whatcha havin' her hanging out for?" ;-)
But thanks for the comments everyone. To the initial posters: um... she's a wemic, as described and depicted in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, the Races of Faerun reference book, and several online sources. Lion-like head, *humanoid* torso atop the four-footed body of a large cat. So... ya know... she's humanoid... ;-)
Paraxen: About the lighting, mostly I just thought the light sources looked cool. :-) I think I had a vague idea that there was strong warm sunlight (such as from a lowering sun under clouds) from in front of her, and the greenish light was reflected light from the storm clouds overhead. As for reference... well, LOTS of pouring over anatomy books! I also looked at photos from National Geographic and other "nature" photography to think about colors and shadows when under stormy conditions with low angle lighting, but most of it was having to combine the two in my head. No 3D modelling except in my brain. The head I painted without a reference, though I was thinking about Florida panthers at the time (beautiful, beautiful cats.)
BTW, (though I make absolutely NO promises) Eligio mentioned something about possibly designing a head for the NPC/PC wemic model that matches this painting. Which would be kinda cool. :-)

A wemic, boobs haning out, all alone on the plains... guess she's got no pride, huh? (cough, cough)
All lion jokes aside, that pic rocks. The combination of of fur/shadow/muscle is awesome. The bow, the detail on the clasp... wow.

Oh my god! It's a 'furry' picture!
I'm scandalized! I'm shocked! I'm... no wait. I'm none of those. I'm indifferent.
:-D
Nice picture.

This is wonderful. I've been planning on doing a series of monster portraits at some point, but this is better than anything I could do. I love it. :)

Gyr! You outdo yourself again. I absolutely love the hair and details on the fur. Excellent work on the leather straps, clasp, and the visible hand. Your light source and the visible shoulder are my only quips. I see a great deal of light hitting the front, but in the upper right it appears that the sun (?) is the source. While I think the pice is fine (!!!) I was just curious as to what you used as your reference. Oh...and awesome abs. ;)
Lions are already scary, but give them a bow?! ack...poor gazelle. ;)

Shouldn't this cat woman have, like four or so breasts? Cat's have more than two nipples ya know. If you were to truly morph a human and a cat.... it would really increase the sales of the bra industries. "I found a way to double our sales!"
Okie. If I'm going to say much else, it's nice job.

"why it has tits"
Err... to feed her offspring (lol)
But, actually you have a point. Wouldn't all the fur get in the way? OK I guess I am overanalyzing this...
