This was the first of the three in the Mind Flayer series for the recently released CoDI mod. I attempted to work in some expression, but the tentacles took over. Oh well. This one is shown 'in progress' on my Web site--in the HOW pop-up. The CoDI mod is brief but was very well received. It features the excellent (understatement) model work of Thebatinthehat. You can get it here on the Vault. Shots of the models and the mod are at the CoDI site: www.city-of-doors.com.
Wow, calling someone a gimp because you think they DON'T play D&D. Thank you for reinforcing all the gamer-geek stereotypes for us.
Bloody hell, I think I'm getting a headache.____________________________________

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 34 that made this score of 8.30 then rounded to 8.

G'Windinel... You don't play D&D that much, do you. This is so obviously a mind flayer that your comment was painful to read. Gimp.

Good lord!
That gentleman seems to have a large cephalopod on his head......... And it looks none too happy about it.
Glorious picture by the way.

T--
The Bariaur is among my favorites as well--he looks like such a nice, normal guy... with horns. First for me is Giraffe Girl, the pink Tiefling. She seems so awkward and out-of-place, it kind of breaks my heart. Well if I had a heart--I had to give it up to be a creative director.
The most importatnt thing in making these bits, is that they be useful character portraits. I try to imagine someone "inside" the drawing looking out. Hopefully a player or module-maker will see the someone they need to round out their story.
I am only too glad to share a little of my time and talent with an audience who seems to genuinely appreciate my efforts. (But if my clients find out I'm giving work away, I'l have some explaining to do...)

These are so awesome. I like your people portraits, but these are just wonderful!

Excellent as always!
Now all we need is an appearance this well done in a hakpak to make player characters out of. ;)

Sporeboy, just wandered over to your site and found the images you hid there.
I just found the bauriar and I have to say that is a very nice work. That and the illithids (particularly this one) are among your best stuff for NWN.
You do faces real well and the bauriaur's is fabulous, because you've created a face that has the same sort of quality as the horns.
In fact, I'd have to say that your males are better than your females because they are so diverse in appearance. Other really nice ones are the Githyanki and the teifling male who is hideous but that's because he was done well. ;)
I like the detail you put in above your color layers.
All in all, I am glad you happned in the NWN scene and started showing off stuff.
Thanks for sharing.
I am glad you finally put some of both yur professional and NWN nights stuff on your site.
