My first portrait in quite a while..designed with a Tolkien-style elf in mind, but she would make a pleasant human as well. 7 different photos, put through the gauntlet of Photoshop 7. I hope you like her!

anyway, nice portrait. go hard the photo modders. i can't paint to save myself, i just wanna see variety out there. i don't recall any dictionary saying "portrait=painting" or this part of the site being called "paintings".

I have seen some of your work before this and to tell the
truth I haven't been that impressed. But this is one of the

VG portrait. Third best photo manipulation I've seen.
Niphredil and Akordia by Amalthea are truly wonderful.
Looks like half-elf to me. Skin is to pale for human yet no
pointy ears would take out elf. Sorry if my grammer is bad
english is second language to me.

Thanks for your comment. In my original, larger version of
the picture, the contrast of the elf more closely matched
the contrast level of the background, but for the smaller
resolution game portraits, I thought it might be best to
increase the contrast of the foreground a bit, so to
emphasize the focal point of the picture (her face). I
hesitated about adding too many shadows, because I wanted
her to retain a sort of luminous feel.

Very good this one. That little plait down the side sets
the overal image off beautifully. If I have one slight
complaint (other than that it looks too much like a photo
retouch) it is that she contrasts with the background too
much. Perhaps a little shadow upon the figure would help
her to blend in more. Damned good picture. Shame Bioware
had to use TSR mini elves and make them all 3rd Ed punk
freaks instead of the sort of graceful creature of nature
depicted here. If anyone ever does get a tall elves hak
going let me know.
