Relsh; This is fantastic work (much better than my stuff)--I can tell you put alot of work into it. My only 'wishlist'-type suggestion would be to make the head look less 'plastic' and add some additional detail/lighting, etc., to the face, to really make him come 'alive' (I know, easier said than done, but you obviously have alot of talent at this). Anyhow, keep up the great work!

Very good portrait! He reminds me of Ganondorf from the Zelda games. Maybe he is a Blackguard/Sorcerer, hmm? Could be cool. Oh, I even forgot i usually dont like portraits that takes to much focus of the face, but this one is good in a Aribeth-way.. I must sound silly. But her portrait (and this one) are the only portraits I really like, even though there is more focus on their armors than their face. Cheers!

Well, it is an absolutely beautiful portrain imho, and one can definitely see that a great deal of work went into it. Very creative in the design work. You definitely have a huge amount of talent.

to all who've posted, i apologize if anyone thought this was hand painted-i guess "photoshop collage" is a bit vague. i indeed owe much to Mcfarlane toys for this one,and some of my other portraits, though i don't know who the actual modellers are. the base figure is nobunaga, the shoulder and sleeves are off the "Many-bladed" SoulCalibur character, and the sword hilt is off one of the "dark ages" characters. these along with the other elements were then collages together. i printed it out and drew overtop of it-the hair, cape, and all the various proportion changes. i scanned it back in and manipulated the parts. then i recolored them and matched the lighting to the shoulder piece. then i applied shadow and various textures(metals, concretes, fabrics, etc.) then i dropped in the backround and fiddled with it all till the whole picture felt unified,... there is the process laid bare. i could go into further detail about each step, but that seems hardly necessary. from now on i will "credit" the sources i use(within reason), though i hope it's evident that much work goes into these portraits. its kinda souring to get comments that imply otherwise.

Haha, good work Grey. It's looked like an action figure to me, too...

I downloaded -still says no downloads I voted -still says no votes hmmmm....... It is still impressive work even if taken off of an action figure. I knew it looked like one of Todd McFarlane's action figure line. Did you take the shoulder armor off of another figure because it is what originally made me think "action figure". Its just incredibly 3D with the lighting and such. As for not giving credit... I've seen MANY, MANY portraits in the Vault, including a couple of Bioware's official portraits, where credit was not given to the original model and/or artist, so I don't think its that big of a deal.

dnlmohler... You put on some full plate armor and see how small your head looks. :-) Again -This is easily one of the most incredible portraits I've seen. Its better than any of the Bioware Portraits. My ONLY complaint would be his skin color, but since he was created to be a specific character then that is understandable.

Maybe it's just me, but I never really like that Brad Nault's work. I thought it was extremely over-rated and cartooney. This on the otherhand is some really detailed grt stuff. Keep portraits like these coming and the photographs, anime, cartoons and the fake stuff out.
