I really wanted to make a portrait of a Mul because I think it's the coolest race from Darksun. Maybe not so useful as Mul in the NWN game, but he could also be used as human or maybe half-elf. Photo-collage made of several layers of photo's, painting, lighting and textures.

Very cool. Vin Diesel does look like the perfect Mul. And, hey, Mul's have Darkvision. Go Riddick!

Hi Goodkill; thank you for your kind words. oh and the duplicate thing is happening to us all I think.
A few things: those ones you saw in the vote list are quite old. It comes from a time when people were mostly giving ones to lower the overall top rated score. And Catastro is a big fan of my work, 'cough' , he used to give only ones to my work. I was used to it. I tried to convince some people regurlarly voting low for my works to state why they hate it.
No such luck, this one girl Elorin thought I wanted her to vote high, which isn't my point at all. I just hate it when people vote below 5 and not say why. She said it was because she hated works with pictures in it. Still doesn't explain enough to me.
Low votes on this piece I can understand, it's a bit of an oldie, and yes it definitely could use some more work, but I like to leave them now, it's what helped me progress over time to make better portraits.
And I think he's still quite cool. :)

Okay, what was that? I didn't hit the back button. Sorry about that duplicate post. Submitted normally. Hmmm. Someone should notify the administrators (or whatever their title is) about that. Hope this one doesn't duplicate also....

This is good work, as I see it. I noticed that two people voted one, as I mentioned in my vote. The thing isn't perfect, but it seems to me to be of very nice quality. Doesn't it say right above the "Submit a Comment" display that "comments are required"? Personally, I don't think it matters if your giving the thing a good vote. But when you vote really low, I think that you should most definitely post a reason as to why you are voting as low as you are. One is very low score, fit only for VERY bad pieces. I believe that there was even a piece up on the vault recently, stating exactly what certain scores entailed. I doubt I'll change anyone's mind with this ranting. For the most part, people who frequently vote ones...well, they're just nasty people. Not to offend anyone, though it should be said that such voters are certainly making little of peoples' hard work, and thus offending THEM. Maybe these voters should think about that before they vote. Not to say, necessarily, that there aren't pieces that might be deserving of ones. Ah, well, I'm done now. Good work, Phaere.

A very nice looking portrait. The tattoos and the scarring don't quite look right, as others have mentioned, but it's close enough. Also, the armor and that piercing (?) could use a little work, though it looks like the creator put some time into the piece. This isn't a perfect portrait, but I'm certainly not sure why two people voted one. I think it's sort of proper voting manners to post why you voted as you did when you vote very low (does it not say, "If you're voting, comments are required and..."). Generally, when it comes to portraits, the only things that should get ones are a horrid, blurred, pixillated things. Why would people vote one for a work such as this? Vile vote-skimpers perhaps? Ah, well. Can't do anything about it. Good work, as I see it. I give it a nine, overall.

The work on the face is wonderful, and the scars are a nice touch. However, the number of them is a bit overdone. Also, the metal armor's texture seems slightly out of place.

Most of your work is great but for some reason I don't care much for this one. The scar could definately use some work, it needs blur or something.
