Drow do have black skin, but black generally can reflect as a dark blue, and if you've ever drawn alot of pictures, when your doing lighter shades of black, grey never seems to look right.

This portrait is awesome, but how do i use it in the toolset? could anyone mail me how?
Posted by Petrell ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-05-08 01:01:00
Well they are described to have ebon black skin if I remember correctly. The artists probably use different color because it would be hard to see any details from complitely black portrait

Okay... I was just wondering. I've always thought of drow as having black skin... Is it just me? I mean like pitch-black. I keep seeing blues and greys. Do I just have the wrong impression?
Awesome job though. Very good. Except for the blue skin but again.... Just me?

Ever think bout working for Blizzard as a concept artist?
You would give Mitzen a run for his money!

Your work is truly amazing, but as a female player I would
love to have some more female portraits designed by you :O)
I looked at you side, I am stunned you are a real artist,
please make some good looking females too :O)

Your best Drow yet Mr. Nault, good work and keep it up!
Posted by Urban ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-12-21 04:26:00
Absolutely amazing, as usual, Brad! The face seems to
convey a silent message of inner rage and the typical
suffering of the male Drow beneath the matriarchial
society that they live in. And again, kudos on the
colours! (no blue Drow!) You said "Another Drow Male", but
I cannot find the first.... could you possibly send me a
link and/or any links to other similar pics you have?
Posted by Edward ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-12-06 20:45:00
I see only thing wrong with this pic. The face seems way to
skinny. Otherwise it is a wonderful pic. And by the way I
love the uncle sam player on your website.

What must I say ??? You really make the best portraits of
all Brad D. Nault.

This is the best drow portrait I have ever seen.

Mandrake, that's just for the "display pic", ... the real
in-game images don't have the url.
Try actually downloading one and you'll see.

This is perfect for one of my characters. I love the
expression on his face.

This is superb, BNault. My favourite of your spectacular creations.
Cheers,
Amalthea.

Great work, as always, but must you always put that logo
and website address at the bottom. It kind of ruins it in
my opinion. Still, it's your decision, I s'pose!
Posted by Taox ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-11-27 20:19:00
I have never made a comment here before - but I would like
to say that this is the best Drow I have ever seen. Your
work has always been good, but this is a work of great
talent.
Cheers.

Excellent work!
I missed your work, I am glad you are back.
I am glad you are making male drow, I have a habit of
making the female ones only and could definitely use some
male ones to add to the mix.

Very nice, and I'm glad to see your portraits are back
after some time.

Very nice!
