Another non spellcaster portrait ;) I really like this one myself- planning to use her in SoU, and continue using her in HotU. And yes- it is a she ;) But you know, all that hair just get in your way when you battle goblins.. Comments are as always welcomed and appreciated :) Updated her shoulder. Is it better? ;)
We've already been through the Kitiara thingy ;) I knew nothing of the dragon tamer 8or what she were) when i did the portrait :) Thanks again for all the encouragements :D

Excellent job with the hair. You've recently gotten much more detailed with hair, I've noticed. :) I only wish the clothes were as sharp and clear as the hair. The cloak in this one sort of looks like it doesn't go around the back of her neck. If it's not actually a cloak, then nevermind. :)

I like this one a lot. Very striking--and she does bear a remarkable resemblence to the renderings of Kitiara, though sort of a 00's goth Kitiara rather than an 80's flashdance Kitiara. ;-)
I think my favorite things are the hair and the background. I really like all the little tendrils. Looks great. The background texture is new for you and I like it. Sort of like canvas. I agree that the tatoos look more like makeup than tatoos, but that doesn't bother me. I think they look cool regardless. The one thing that bothers me a little is the cloak. How is it staying so far forward? My mind wants the weight of it to drag that clasp back against her neck. As it is, to me it seems like the brooch is somehow attached to her collar bones (yiee!)
Overall though great pic. Like it lots! :-)

All in all a good portrait, but the 'tattoos' around her eyes seem more like heavily applied goth eyeliner than tats. Maybe if they were a little more elaborate, and a little less starkly black?

Well, Kitiara isnt the only female wearing one. And Sadoly isnt based at all upon her- as i posted, i havent even heard of her before you mentioned her. They have nothing in common. Sadoly is a monk of the Blue Rose in Rolsam, or a monk of Ilmater in Faerun. She have nothing to do with blue dragons ..

Whilst there's always the hair it was the headband that made me think of the old Kitiara pictures by the classic TSR artists, Elmore, Easley, Caldwell and Parkinsson.

Kitiara is a character from the Dragon Lance chronicles -- evil general of the blue dragon armies. While Sadoly has characteristics in common with Kitiara (mainly the hair), I do not think she is a blatant remake. As always, excellent work Apricane.
