OK, before all the anime haters get out the flame-throwers: THIS ISN'T FOR YOU. I'm not sure NWN is the best venue for anime, but there was a request from a couple of my online friends for a good *realistic* looking Sephiroth. Being a huge Final Fantasy fan, I couldn't resist taking up the challenge. I hope it in some way does our anti-hero justice. I went for the Zen Sephiroth here, with the muted pastels and the Oriental flower motifs. This was painted from a photo of a resin model kit (which I happen to own); background is chopped up bits of flower photos, lighting effects and some hand painted texturing.

Wonderful. FIrst off, I am not a FF fan, but that is purely due to the style of rp. I'm hardcore Shining Force though.
I also don't like seeing Japanese Anime style Drawings in D&D video games (chinese comic is ok though...). However, this isn't Anime/manga style, this is the kind of style that almost fits into baldur's gate. (if it wasn't for the slightely anime face, but hey, thats not a bad thing :P, and a good "cut and paste" creation, it's "zen" elements fit well with the D&D style of game). So thanks.

Very Well Done! I am not an anime fan, but I don't dislike it either. Whatever the case, it has a great edgy feel to it, and I think it would make a great portrait for a PC or NPC.

This picture is really great. You found a masterpiece section! Could you do one of Cloud and the others too? I do request this. Even seeing my Masamune opposite Sephiroth is a bit uneasy.

Hi Maize,
I didn't draw the *figure*, I started with a photo of the model resin kit, but I did paint all the background in myself, and painted over the face (I altered quite a bit of that, including repainting the left eye.) The composition, coloring, background and other postwork was entirely my own design, and original. If it looks like some other art, it was purely accidental. :-) I have never seen any of the pictures from this Advent Children movie (though I certainly will check it out now.) :-) Don't worry... It's sort of a compliment that you thought it was copy and paste. I might try this technique again with some other FF characters, just for fun. Hopefully I won't hit on the same look and feel as another movie.
