Another plot-character in my Underdark module. She can be used as a drider, but also a drow female. Photo-collage with Uma Thurman as main model, and various pieces of armour and knives and weapons used for clothing and jewels. Update: changed the background. It somehow bothered me and was too chaotic for the many details of the character. Update 2: I've added another version in the zip-file without the face-piece, (see larger picture) so both are available in the game.
There's always someone who knows better than I do. :D
RedArmy: Yes, I said it was Uma in my description, so forgive me for not giving you a compliment for how well you spotted the original model. Secondly: you say :"supposedly", I am sorry ... what does that mean? Who supposes anything then? The rulebook? I have said it before, I will not follow every rule blindly. What's the point in making your own portraits when you have to follow each strict rule? There is no fun in that, and no originality. BTW
D&d is a game based upon fantasy. And imagination. Learning every line and rule about a race and its features limits your fantasy.
As for driders, I remember them being only fallen drow males, but either my memory fails me or they've changed it in the 3rd edition.
Monster Manual 3.0: "When a dark elf of above-average ability reaches 6th level, the goddess may put him or her through a special test. Failures become driders."
him or her...
But maybe it's slightly different in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting.

Uma Thurman, by the looks of things. The humanoid remnants of driders are supposedly bloated mockeries of their former selves, BTW.
