This was a request for a Cleric of Tempus. it was some work, as much time was spent on the armor trying to give it the 'weight' and character worthy of a battle god. Sources: base head is a melding of 3 famous actors whose features seemed 'half-elf' to me. Wizards of the Coast: symbol of Tempus (used in the breastplate). The armor is composed of MANY peices and parts from the net. And as always, lots of home-made textures and overlays. Overall, i was going for realism that was not 'photorealistic'. comments and critiques welcome. Update: thanks for comments, fixed the arm.not sure when it will update on this site, though.

Kick ass portrait man, perfect for that battleguard of tempus I'm ready to unleash, though the face seems a bit off. Sideburn/chops are a nice touch, lol.

Ummm, great work on the armor, you really got the engraving the weight of the armor right on. But the face... it doesn't fit at all. In terms of textures (way to soft looking, and no deep textures) and the crossbow doesn't have any woodgrain and is suffering from the same problems as the face.
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 19 that made this score of 8.26 then rounded to 8.

I hate to say it, but this piece looks so much more "copy 'n' paste" than your other pics. The hits doesn't fit in at all...sorry :(

LoL...you've discovered i'm human...rats.
I thought this looked really good "in-game". guess i did myself a disservice with such a large preview pic. Well, while i can't recognize all of your points of contention (but maybe i will with some time and distance), i will work to avoid them in the future.

I can't say anything that hasn't already been said.
Do you think adding some facial hair would help with blending the face in?

Well, son of a gun, you're human. This is the first portrait of yours that I don't like. There are just too many "styles" going on here for me, and for once it really really looks like a portrait that's pieced together from many different sources. Usually, your portraits just aren't that obvious.
Considering your other stuff, saying this is your worst isn't really too bad, but, man, I'm glad to see you're not perfect. Was beginning to wonder. *Whew. :-)

I like the armor on this one, but I'm not groovin' on the face. It's much flatter than the armor and doesn't have the same contrast; also it looks like there is a jaggy on his right cheek? Out of curiousity, which three actors? Is one Mel Gibson? :-) Colors on the armor are really nice. I like the copper tones. As always looking forward to your next one!

wow, that's fast. well, i hope that looks better.

thanks for the comments--i totally missed the arm...kinda embarrassed. Easy fix, though, seems i flattened my image with some of the layers turned off. i guess the file will be updated next "round". so if ya wanna refraim from downloading til then, thats cool.

Damn that's a nice pic. The detail is awesome. To me the head looks fine. And the armour..........takes the breath away. I'd love to know just how many hours of work this has taken u to complete.
the one thing that puzzles me is the characters right arm (my left). it just looks strange. It LOOKS awesome, but for me doesn't fit with the rest of the piece. Tbh it has stopped me from downloadin cos I cannt thing of a character with an arm like that.
PLEASE!!! Don't take my comments as aflame as I have most of the portraits u have done on my harddrive as they quite simply outstanding. U have a talent for this that makes me want to hate u. LOL

As always very nice =) The head is a little off though, sort of looks pasted in, and the edges are a little jagged looking. Still though, very well done.

the armour is amazing, the bakground beatiful. I´m not sure about the head, he doesn´t look like the kind of guy that would wear this much armour, and the green of the eyes has to much yellow in it to look real. Still, its a really really good portrait.

Very nice armor! His left arm looks a little to thick.. Im sorry, I must sound like Im pecking im you, I always have something to say, dont I. :)
I like how you merged his face though- I find it difficult to merge faces because of the thousands of different skin tones and features- can be hard to mix sometimes- but you really did it good :)
He could fit a little better with the background also. Keep em comin! :)
