In contrast with my first portrait as a paladin, using my own face, I decided to make a somewhat darker version of Amalthea, having fallen from grace and embracing the ways of the Blackguard. It is a simple Poser 5 render of my own face, with some extra Photoshop work. Armor drawn from scratch using a model, and background with Cinema 4D. Lots, lots, and lots of postwork with Photoshop CS. Hope you will enjoy !

No way. He's just another pretty boy who loves to rejoice within his own drama, because that's part of his dark mistery, of his "sadness". He's bitter towards his past as a servant of The Light and now embraces the Darkness with joy. "Hail to my Dark Master! I am all the more interesting now.". You know, that's so corny, over-used, and over-rated, but still many, many fall for that trick.
Regardless, you could have used a much more manly, mature (not necessarily old) face. This one suits perfectly an arrogant (modern) rock-star. Aside the less-than-mediocre content, it's not a bad picture.
4/10.

Okay, since you're using your own face, you pro'll don't need to hear my compliments. *S* but I disagree whole-heartedly with all who've said it isn't dark enough. This to me captures a bittersweet pain of a man who knows he's fallen, can see what he's lost, and has lost the faith to reclaim it. And as for the angle, it might be a little off, enough to be slightly noticable in a screen-size pic, but it's going to be viewed much smaller, and just looks like a distorted perspective to me. Pro photographers pull that all the time.
Nice job. (Might also serve well for a paladin on the *brink* of the fall...)

I love this portrait, it's perfect for my paladin who just happened to have fallen from grace. There's a sadness eminating from him, which is perfect, and I have to disagree with the opinions on the background. I think it fits the mood very well, as not EVERY paladin that falls from grace is to be expected to visit horrid, gruesome backgrounds
The scar is also amazing - exactly how my pally has it. Great job!

Quite well done. The face reminds me of Brad Pitt!

Cool pic. I like how it shows the blackguard scorning his former life by standing in (and likely ready to desecrate) a church.

A lot of cool things ... and a few minor things, but overall very good.
