I made this portrait to represent a character I played in PnP back in the early '80s. The original character was a fighter, but I changed her to a cleric for NWN. The head is Christina Ricci, and the armor is from 7 different pics. Enjoy :)

The armor is pretty well put together, but the head looks like it was just stuck on.

We are left with no doubt that this character is stalwart and determined cleric of the holy order. The large eyes seem to be looking at you, trying to determine if you're good or evil. The face has the palor of recent battle, and the attention to detail on the chainmail, shield, and mace are all evident.
I can only see one thing that needs improvement with this portrait: it remains a bit "fuzzy." This could be due to the lack of contrast between the gray in the background and the silvery gray of Akira's armor, or it might be due to the process used to create the image. Either way, clarifying the foreground without losing the most excellent "blur" in the background would be a worthwhile enhancement.

As for the coice of name:
Please note the date the original character was made up there.
I made her in 1980, long before Japanimation had infested the US. I came up with the name Akira all on my own, seeing as I was 14 at the time and had never even seen anything Japanese besides toys. :)"Me Go Beer!" - Mr. Dave _________________________ Me go beer!

Very good. This one has a lot of good lighting and atmosphere.
Two things only: you should recrop the smaller picture to focus more on the head.
And why Akira? I thought: oh no, not another anime style picture. Maybe that's the name you intended for that original character but I think it totally clashes with the great portrait you got there.
Other than that: really really good.

Love the armor! Very grungy :D Ricci has never looked tougher ;) The armor blend beautifully, like they belong together, -well done.
