Well, I believe this is a very impressive piece of work - especially since you made it from scratch. I'd also like to say that you shouldn't let someone's vote get you down. I think that as long as you enjoy what you do, it shouldn't matter what people say or how they vote. lol, people rarely ever vote on my portraits...but I don't really care. I'm just happy I was able to create something and be proud of it. _________________________ ...long walk back to reality...

i have to disagree, this is great work and i would use it in a heart beat if i played a male character, so PLEASE make your female version. As a fellow artist it is hard work to draw something and then post it where you get unbiased opinions. s/he deserves much credit for taking the time to share this with us. Thank you

hum, i'm agree to say that this monk is not a "great work", but, i think there are not many monk portraits in "martial arts" position. And in nwn, monk fight as kind of shaolin monk.
And please recall that this portait is a drawing, and no photo was used (most of great portraits on this site are photo based and i like them, but I don't know anything about photoshop). And if you don't like the "in guard" position, please note that it really exists.
So, EternallySteel, I would have liked some constructives comments in order to understand your vote (2).
I don't know if i will ever finish the female version of this draw, the motivation is down.

I like the blurring and smudging on the landscape. It gives it quite an oil paintinglike look."Me Go Beer!" - Mr. Dave _________________________ Me go beer!
