Simply the best assassin portrait available. With Bioware's extremely poor selection of rogue portraits, this one was a breath of fresh air!
Nice job. Perfectly captures evil confidence.

Awsome portrait! I think he could've done without the eye brows
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 41 that made this score of 8.16 then rounded to 8.

After my EXTREME disappointment with Bioware's selection of rogue or assassin portraints and being even MORE disappointed with the Hordes portraits (we don't all play elves, folks), I was very happy to find this one for my Rogue/Assassin.
Best evil assassin portrait ever made. Thanks!

Very good

Very nice. Matches the original portrait style perfectly, which a lot of people don't bother to do.

Great stuff! I love the fact that you can use this photo
for a variety of characters. My favorite is the
Necromancer. Keep them coming.

I really like this picture. It looks like a mad monk or a
hit man or something.

Aye, That sleeping thing takes up way to much time, very
overated I think :).

Thanks for the answers Kaylon. And, Harry, I agree: even
having a Wacom tablet doesn't make it easy. (It sure beats
using a mouse though!!!!)
I am impressed that Kaylon's portrait only took an hour.
You've achieved some nice blending and textures! Sure makes
me wonder what I am doing wrong.
Mine isn't done and it's taking over 100 hours of work (if
it were done without stopping for other projects, gaming,
family sleeping, eating, schooling and stuff.)

You definately have talent.

This is an excellent portrait! It is so good to see
original portrait like this! Great work on your use of
light & shadows. I love that is on the dark side! I too am
using the Wacom Tablet & photoshop for a pic and know that
even though it took an hour, this is not an easy thing.
You have great skill.
Thanks for the portrait!
Posted by Anonymous ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-03-10 09:07:00
You did this in an hour!? And bioware complains that making
new portraits takes forever. Lazy bastards.
Posted by Kaylon ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-03-10 07:08:00
Many Many thanks for the comments :)
Tirados, to answer your questions. This one is 100%
photoshop, line art included, I use a 16x18inch (A4 squared
drawing area) Wacom Tablet. Sometimes I scan Pencil or Ink
work also, but this one is all photoshop. This chap took
maybe an hour or so and was done not much bigger then what
you see here.
Thanks again all, and more are on the way (got a lady
finished at the moment, but I aint as good at females so
we'll see hehe)
Posted by Tirados ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-03-10 06:48:00
Oh my goodness! It's not a manipulated photo or a poser
piece!!!
Very nice!
Tell me, Kaylon, you state this was painted in Photoshop.
Did you draw a line art pic by hand, scan it, and paint
over it? Or did you start from scratch in Photoshop? And,
do you have a graphics tablet or are you simply very (very)
skilled with a mouse?
Oh, one last question, how long did it take you? (Sorry,
very curious.)
And I have to say to Apricane, yes it's not Bioware
style... it's better!

Your portrait is very well done. I look forward to seeing
more!

Dear god man, you must keep working on portraits! Anyone
who can turn out work like this is an impressive asset to
the community!
Keep up the GREAT work.

This is the best portrait I've seen on the vault since
Akordia in November. Great for a dark elf rouge or
necromancer.
PS Dark elves aren't drow there just evil elves

Wonderful.. One of the best portraits I've seen in a long
time :)
Posted by Kaylon ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-03-09 14:28:00
Thanks. Glad you like it.
Apricane, It is all painted, all Photoshop, no ref, no
photo's used, Just painted :).
Posted by Apricane ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-03-09 11:24:00
Although this is not Bioware style, this is quite cool. Did
you use any basic face at all? In that case, you have
really made it look like it is all painted. Cool!
