Pyroxys will be the Goddes of Fire in my new story. But as I finished the portrait I though she could very well fit into other classes as well. She was created from this base image: http://www.atpictures.com/display.php?g=bridget&img=bridget124.jpg Model called Bridget Hall. I added another body, repainted the hair, relighted the whole thing with added background, sword, necklace and leather arm ... thing. Feel free to comment on how to improve, etc. Update: removed 'fire effect', tried to push things like the sword and necklacce into the background.

She looks fantastic, but the spikes on the shoulder have to go.

CarreMarie: thank you very much for your kind words. i am glad I was able to convert someone. ;)
I usually put a lot of effort in a piece, and I am glad people appreciate that. I am working very hard these days to completely loose pics altogether but I find it hard to paint it all. But I'm trying ...

Odd, I post a comment complimenting your picture and it's now gone. Lovely. Great job admins! Yay!

First off let me make it clear, I detest photo manipulation pics..There with that said, Phaere, with what you do could make a believer out of anyone. I have never been so infatuated with someones combination of others work before. Your photos are amazing and there's so much of yourself put into them.
You respect the beauty/handsome aspects of the people in your photos and put them in very interesting scenarios. Your bacckgrounds are amazing. I see your backgrounds and imagine where they are and what they are doing. That's fun for me.
Also, I lost a lot of interest in NWN for the longest time, and your portraits truly make my characters more interesting for me.
So I know i'm just one person in billions, but to convert me, you'd have to be genius, brillant, and able to present something so fabulous that I'd use it on my character, well you've succeeded, I'm converted.

I can't believe people are nit-picking this portrait! It's definitely one of my top five female portraits in the whole vault. Why look for flaws? Just enjoy! She's flexible enough to use in different character classes too. Good stuff.

I think it looks great. You only notice the small mistakes when you push your nose against the screen, I didn´t even notice it before I saw the comment.

Well ... I always ask for critics and hints so feel free to point out stuff that looks off. :)
But about the hair I have to disagree, because it is in fact her hair. The only thing I did was recolour it, maybe that's where it goes wrong, and I softened and lighted and darkened hairs in it, but it's not a cut and paste thing here. It's all her own hair ...
About the other stuff, maybe you're right, but there are always small things which don't look quite right so sometimes I just let go of the pic; I announce it finished and then that's that.
Thanks for the pointers, maybe if I feel like it and have time I will change the little errors, but for now ... I am happy with it.

I really don't want to be rude, because it's obvious that you've put a lot of effort into this (bit of an understatment eh?)
But I noted a few things that make it look a bit fake.
1. Her hair. For the most part looks brilliant but where it begins to go over flesh it hit's some problems. It gets that cut&paste look to it. I'm nowhere near an expert on this, but you might want to try using an eraser effect to try and show the skin underneath the outer bits of hair (where the strands would start thinning thus becoming more transparent)
2. The spikes on her left shoulder. Once again they look a bit out of place. I unfourtunatly have no good idea on how you could fix it. Perhaps a defined shadow effect? Maybe even adding a bit shadow around them, to make it look like the armor has been bent to hold them in place.
And 3. nothing major, probably will dissapear when shrunk anyways, but on her right arm. there is a sharp bump. just a bit beneath her hand. As I said, it'll probably vanish when shrunk, but if not, you could easily remove it with an eraser or selection tool.

Unbalanced, and rather poor compared to the photo.
The merging of images is really poor

There is only two problems left with it: it looks far *too* good and far too *real*...

I like her. Rhe freckles need to blend a bit because they are a tad too uniform, but wonderful work.
