Since it's a tribute to VtM, I of cource must appreciate it's existance a little more than I normally would.
I *do* have a problem with this portrait. The hand, to be specific. The thumb, if more specifics are needed. The problem is that the side of the palm appears to be the palm itself from a 30 degree view to the casual observer (I.E me), and as such the thumb looks all wrong.

I really love the attention to detail here!

Nice work! Especially liked the skeleton in the background... is subtle and doesn't detract from the subject yet is a nice touch. I'm also glad to see that all the female characters aren't big breasted blonde bimbos but are realistic and beautiful nonetheless.

I never understood how someone with Auspex 10 could be tricked by Augustus Giovanni. Personally I guess you would need Auspex to perceive wraiths and it helps on necromancy."On one truth in life I hold a bet - to be like Hitler you must be dead!" _________________________ "As the edge of midnight falls, the warrior stands alone. Nice smooth picture, and good lighting and atmosphere. But her arm is twisted very strangely in holding the skull. MAybe I am seeing it wrong, but it looks ... well wrong. It's something in the shadows I think, but it looks like it is her other arm mirrored, well I don't know what it looks like but it's not right. Sorry :)
If you change it, it will be perfect. Love the face.

Forgot to say what I did with it. Basically it's many layers of paint (airbrush) and a few textures. No effects involved. The skeletons embedded on the wall behind was quiete a trick to get to look right.
What I did was make a brush out of a photo I found and stamped it on a stone wall. I then added added a concrete style to the brush itself to give it a stonelike
and bevelled look. Then I merged it with the wall itself and added a couple of nice textures to make it all blend and give a more cavelike feel to it.
Added the skull in the hand. (The Cappadocians are called The clan of Death and are often portraied with a skull in their hands) "Light travels faster than sound, that's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak"
