I've been wanting to do a white tiger version of a rakshasa for some time now, but was having great difficulty finding an appropriate image with which to start. So, SilverLady and I spent nearly 2 days searching for a proper base image until this one was found. He had that perfect expression on his face, but the image was small and of very poor quality. Hopefully, this rework did him justice. Enjoy :)
an extract of a definition of the Rakshasa found on the web :
"hands with the palms inverted compared to the body seems to be a standard. Rakshasas of high social status carry sometimes heads sliced. All Rakshasa wear human clothes of the highest quality"
I think the important here is "Seems to be a standard", also, note that only the palm is inverted here :E
And, MR Dave, how about one wearing the sliced head. that would be cool

Well, saying a Rakshasa has backwords hands is like saying snakes have scales. It's not like saying all Chinese people know Kung-Fu, like you make it out to be. I find it very amusing that people have to take something of fantasy that already has common truths and change something pretty drastic and say they're the same thing. Not every single creature of one particular species must look all the same, but they still must all have some similarities. One difference between a weretiger and a Rakshasa is the backwards hands.
I wish I could go to the Abbottsford International Airshow...
I love B-17s :(
Snakes without scales are worms... And you once again completely missed my point.
My point is that someone always has to try to say that every single creature of one particular species must all look the same, to which I find great amusement."Me Go Beer!" - Mr. Dave _________________________ Me go beer!

Sure does ;) Even though I am, I am also in school to advance my eductaion and hopefully become a full professor, That of course requires a doctorate which as of yet, I do not have... or as one of my associates would say.. PHD in progress. Besides archaeologist is just another name for "scientist geek who plays in the dirt".."A life without honor is no life at all"

Got Trowel???? ;) In answer to your question, I am first and anthroplogist and second an archeologist. My field speciality is trade routes, primar, secondary and tertiary and the cultural influences that lead to the formation of such and the cultural modifications that resulted from such. Spec. Asia-Europe Africa-MidEast and all wonderfully convoluted tie in's.

The problem Mr. Dave, is that most of my superiors have that look allready! So If I look at them that way, then they will think I am one of them and attempt some kind of mating ritual or something.... ;)
Funnything is, that everytime one of us that tries to put forth a theory or debunk and old one, they, our "superiors in the field" get slackjawed, bambi eyes and start to drool mindlessly. Go figure."A life without honor is no life at all"

ROFL!!
Well, eb52t, thats the beauty of this! Age is irrelevent when everybody is doing something that they enjoy. Here is proof that youth and exhuberence can sometimes overcome age and wisdom, or age and lack of wisdom! "A life without honor is no life at all"

Icenlord, ask your so called 'superiors' how the 'Malachite Man' came to be... :evillol:
Any answer they give, just look at them like Bambi in the street, fixed on headlights, and say "Wow, so the Piltdown man... Was that before, or after homo erectus?"
How's that for sarcasm? :D"Me Go Beer!" - Mr. Dave _________________________ Me go beer!

To make it easier, I am a number between 37 and 40 and I dig wonderful holes in the ground, play with trowels and brushes in dirt, pick at bones and sherds, study odd cultures (Including this one... All of you could be part of my research...) and paleo stuff and oh lets see, and going for my PHD soon and totally off my rocker!
Can you guess my age and what I want to be when I grow up? Damn. Been there, doing that, getting better at it too... I'm old enough to be the father of some of my classmates and students. Anybody got a potion of I want to be 21 again?
Please note cynisism and to get back on topic.... I would love to see a Rakshasa doen using a jaguar as a base, sort of a Maztica Rakshasa... (Yes I know there are where leopards)..... With lots of Jade. Jade is cool.

Besides, where I live, the drivers think that there is a hook in the bottom of the car, the stay on the line, the hook snags the line and they go straight. (somewhere in the pacific NW)"A life without honor is no life at all"

ROFL!!! I give! I'd be the one who would run out and try to tell you that you are doing it wrong and get run over by the semi! Ok, 1 case of ale.... play ball!
"A life without honor is no life at all"
"Never to forget Boadicea, Queen of the Iceni"
Oh yah, I forgot to add that vehicles don't go on said line, so I'll be relatively safe playing with the ball in question.... _________________________ Timmmeahhhhhhhhh!!!!!
PLAY WITH BALL = FUN!!! lol. but of course, I said "might very well be what others tell you." With the main operative term being "might". So it depends, obviously...on whether the idea is feasible and how much respect you have for the person giving the idea. _________________________ Timmmeahhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Ok, I guess my attempt at cynasim was lost. In other words who gives a damn? So, eb52t If I told you to play with a ball in the middle of that striped line in the middle of the road, you'd do it?? ;)
