Groscow is a gnomish rogue with a serious addiction to rubies. Heavily modified base image for pose and face (it's really tough to paint beards), lots of added armour pieces and hand painting. Update: relighted the body (didn't want to change too much, because on my computer it looks quite good - not too dark and grey) Update: replaced the corrupt file, hope it works now!

You can tell he really likes that ruby. Sagadur is right, there are definitely too few gnome pictures around, and he certainly looks like a gnome. Cool.

Grosco is great.. but the zip file seems to be corrupt. I can extract all but his huge portrait and that gives me an error.
Great work though!

One quick and dirty way to lighten some areas up is to use the dodge tool, although Paintshop Pro has a nice lighting setup that works wonders.
Even dark this is a great portrait."Me Go Beer!" - Mr. Dave _________________________ Me go beer!

Phaere: Thanks for the constructive criticism! Not sure about the lighting, I'll try it out.
The guy is nobody you all could know. The base image is from my private archiv, but I doubt he would even recognize himself ;)
AND he is intended to look very smooth and charming, he's a rogue!

He realy looks eager for that ruby. The hair looks to modern (to much gel?) to me, but that is a question of taste. There are to view gnomes and this one does very well as one of them (and a good one).
Zapan: Why should anyone be dumb not to recognize a person immediately in a modified picture? Not everyone is as perceptive as you are, in knowing who it is, where it was shot etc.
Nice picture, but the lighting is a bit strange. It is very bright on his cheek and darkened on the rest of his face. Greyish light, it just is not really right.
But I like the armour, and the type of character.

Are you poeple dumb or what? This is a pic of Andy Serkis aka Gollum, shot during the world première of the return of the king, at Wellington, N-Z. You can still notice the One ring in his hand turned into a ruby. Great work anyway.
Actually, he looks an awful lot like one of the dudes from "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy", with a beard added.
I can't think of his name, though...y'know the one. The really fey-looking little guy.
Ah, whatever - you all get the point. It's not like I actually *watch* that show, anyway (not because I have a problem with homosexuals, mind you, but because I'm totally opposed to networks exploiting gay for gay's sake as a cheap ratings gimmick. Can't make a show interesting? Put a gay guy in it!).
