I wanted to do a vampire for ages but never got the right picture or idea for a portrait. Until I found a simple picture of the slightly annoying, but quite useful for this portrait; Avril Lavigne. The body was constructed from a base picture of a Ultima Online action figure. Clothing and armour pieces added, lighting and atmospheric effects + background added.

Comments about her music sucking out my will to live aside, I think it's a great adaptation for a vampire. I'm a fan of the action-figure look, too. Nice work!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I think she is a bit dorky myself. But when I saw this pic of her I couldn't help myself. I have never found a decent pic of a person with their mouth open I could use for a vamp. Well not counting the weirdo's and freakazoids with fake fangs in I would not use even if I was threatened to. :)

I like it, but I can't help but think of 'Sk8ter boi' as I look at this. Kinda ruins the moment for a vampire, but it looks great.

Very nice ... as Olivia said very feral ... I still cant get over the fact that its avril ... for me it just spoiled the picture .. I mean dont get me wrong .. I love your work on the picture and I have some of your other portraits floating about on my computer some where ... but Im not too fond of avril.
as for the pose ... it reminds me a tad of ozzy ozborn .. that might just be me tho.

You might want to check out some of my other portraits, they also have pieces of Lotr armour. It could be like a quest, finding the elf armour pieces. If you don't have a hobby that is ;)

Thanks. Maybe she does stand too relaxed for her expression. I don't think I will change it though, strangely as she looks, I like the pose altogether. :)
