'Hamsters and rangers everywhere: rejoice!' A portrait of Minsc inspired by Sporeboy who wanted to make his own BG portraits. I decided I wanted to do some also. At first I only wanted to do Boo, but then again: what's Boo without Minsc? Created from a picture of Christian Slater (quite tricky to make him bald but I feel it kind of worked), added some armour pieces and leather stuff to create armour. Hand also added. Boo was created from a hamster pic, but I ended up repainting a lot of his fur. I really tried to give it that BG portrait feel, with the armour and all, and I feel I have partly succeeded. The zipfile contains the entire image of them both, but I also added a version of Boo alone, for those who like it. Hope you like him ... Your work is almost always top-notch. That being said, this portrait is sadly below par. Your other portraits are seemless masterpieces(at least in my opinion). This one seems to be a frankestein-like mess.
Don't despair, however. Let Misnc's words of wisdom be your compass: "When the going gets tough...Someone hold my rodent!"

"Some other guy and his hampster stand ready" I'm sorry, that head just doesn't work for Minsc, I just... doesn't work. I'm happy to stick with the origional portrait, they did it best. I like your work Phaere, but don't try to steal Minsc. "Boo is too young to have to avenge him"

I wanted to capture the simple-mindedness of Minsc. The childish innocent look, when in a moment he could snap into the aggresive berserker and attack even party-memebers. I think he is one of the best characters from BG, such a personality. :)

Hehe, good portrait! The only nitpick I have is that his expression isn't much like minsc, he doesn't look like an insane berserker. It's still a great job though!

great portrait, but ´boo´ seams a bit off... he looks like he's being squeezed... movin the him more towards the center of the hand could pehaps make op for this...?

A good conversion, and the changes from the original picture are supurb. I need to look at some more of Phaere's portraits - most are damn good. I'm being harsh here, its only a 9, because he doesn't look quite as large and fierce as I think he might, but boo looks great. _________________________ Jasperre

The scar somehow doesn't strike me as scar-like, but more canyon-like. That's my only technical objection. Great work!

About the body: maybe because it is only a small portion of the shoulders you get to see he doesn't look very muscular, or big. Thanks for the comments!

Great portrait but somehow I think he looks bit too much that he is in thoughts about something. And his Body was big stronger if I remember correctly. But it's a great portrait anyway and people could see that this is Minsc ;) Good work.Ja khaless zhah waela
