Second of the BG portraits I am making. In BG Imoen was still the happy-camper and I tried to capture that in this pic. Constructed from a girl (really don't who this was), quite a simple collage this time, a lot of repainting and colouring, tried to work the lighting again. Input is always welcome,
hmmm very nice but a little too masculine for the Idea of this lil innocent Imoen that is in my mind :) _________________________ Mea Culpa's Demesne Old Elven Saying: "Never say Never if you're gonna live forever!!!" "I didn't do it, it wasn't my fault"

How weird. The instant I start playing Baldur's Gate 2 for the first time, everything related to it seems to be popping up! This is a great picture, I think, and even with everything Imoen's been through, I think she'd still find things to laugh about every once in a while. I almost wish the hair was a little thicker . . . something about it is bugging me. As for the woman herself, I *think* that's Stephanie Weir (Wier . . . whichever) from MadTV, or at least she looks like it in the smile and eyes. In any case, great portrait!

Ugh... Now thats a very ugly Imoen. I dunno man, but I like the original portraits more.

Haha, that's what you get for making a picture of an existing character. Let's just say this is Imoen after the fight in the Cloakwood mines and she got beat up badly (at least my Imoen did, she got killed halfway through the game at least a thousand times):)and now she is so tired she looks ten years older. ;) Thanks for the comments, I guess this is not the greatest portrait I ever made, but there is something I like about her. Strangely enough.

If there's one thing I'd like to see different it is the hair wrap on the left side of the picture. I like it, but it wasn't clear to me what it was until I looked real close. At first I couldn't figure out why she had a piece of cloth hanging in her hair. Another mild ...objection (?) is the scars. Would she have any scars in BG I, since she'd just started adventuring? Though I guess toward the end she certainly could have! Good points: I love the tunic she is wearing. You're a master of detail. :) I like that she looks so open and friendly...and her hair is actually a manageable length for adventuring. Not something we usually pay attention to. ;)

Nice, very nice. My only complaint is that I think she looks a little too old to be the BG1-Imoen as well. If you're thinking of making more BG portraits, how about that evil bard and his girlfriend from BG1? They were a cool pair. Or Safrenna.. safrana.. something like that. Manipulative female rogue with a total lack of morale. I always liked her.

You're right ofcourse. I did note in my description I meant to portray the BG1 Imoen, because of her cheery face and indeed the BG2 Imoen is a lot less fun. :) I guess I didn't mention it too clearly though I think I said just BG. About her looking older, I guess you have a point there also, but I feel the portrait in BG1 made her look more older than she sounded at least. Thanks for the input :)

A very good job, Phaere. But if I imagine Imoen and all the things she's been through at the beginnings of BG II and the struggles there, I can't see her laughing. Her mood has changed a lot since BG I to BG II, where she hasn't much to laugh. Also I think, she seems here a lot older, than BG II (as far as I know, she is 18-20 in the BG-series, referring to the games and Forgotten Realms information). But that is ONLY a criticsm of the girl itself, not of your skill. You did a good job, as always.
