A sort of experiment with multiplying layers etc. I used a picture which was in awful shape of a bodybuilder woman. I had to smudge and repainted and highlight and shadow a lot to make her up to resolution :) The head model is Natalie Portman. Added some simple things as hair and the fox hood, and the axe. The tattoos and body body-art were added as a texture using multiply. Yes she is scarcely dressed, but I think a barbarian femme should be. Background added, relighted as a whole. UPDATE: I added a second tattoo-less version for those who prefer it. Both versions are included in a new zip.
The tatoo version is great. I love it. Phaere, you are
still numnber one on my list of portrait creators ^_^

Great female Barbarian for the Hyborian Age setting.

This is kind of strange, but the un-tattooed one looks more...naked...than the tattooed one.
Either way, both are very nicely done. And I LOVE that we get a strong woman, rather than just a thin one.

i love the face and tattoos in this pic, but i was wondering if you'd make a portrait like this (same style) only wearing weather appropriate clothing :) the feel of this pic is perfect for any northern character, but i can't picture "my" barbarian in a bikini. Maybe a cloak over her shoulders but open in front made from the same material as her hood? i get goosebumps looking at her :)
Great Work

On many poertraits I agree with the folks that want to see the tatts gone - as they are more modern in style. On this piece the tatts are the best thing about it for me. They are the sort of body art (even if a little to precise perhaps) I imagine on a barbarian warrior.
Not a little "decoration" but rather a serious investment in time, and most likely beleif.
I don't get it either. I like tattoo's, maybe I did overdo them on this picture, but I found that suiting. I'd imagine her part of some clan who seperate themselves by tattooing their entire body. :)
