A request for an elven character, and I specifically had to use a base picture of Angelina (which was gorgeous anyway) so here she is. Created from a base stock image at Deviant Art: credit goes to AuralisStock~, I can't find the link, Angie's head put over it, I added different hair, textures, background and repainted several area's. Hope you like her.

I can't put my finger on it, but the face just looks scary/creepy/just not right.

I'm certainly not an artist, but when I look at this portrait it seems like she's trying to cut her own throat...the sword seems to be angled toward her neck. I can't put why it strikes me that way in art-type words, but it does.

I like your work, however, what is the fascination with morphing Angelina Jolie? Somedays I feel witty, others foolish. Then there are the days when I feel witty AND foolish.

I love her! I am a big fan of Angelina Jolie portraits, she has a lovely face to work with.
I love how you have changed her features to look more elvish, put blonde hair on her and she would be Aerie from BG. That i would love to see, Angie as a Alvariel (is that what you call the winged elves?). Good work Phaere!

Yeah, some people have no comprehension i.e. the person posting as don't nag dave. Nor do they have any idea what the word perspective means.

I like her the way she is. I usually do have lighting issue's but in this portrait they don't bother me. I like the different colours and light spots. Oh well, I just like this picture I guess. :P
I don't see anything wrong with her face either, although the original model had her head tilted in a different way, I thought it looked correct like this. Maybe it is because I pushed the jawline up, otherwise I couldn't say. :)

Phaere's portraits are great... this one though I dunno... I mean.... her eyes scare the +blocked+ out of me... it's like someone hit her with a brick and she can't get them to realign....

@ Don't nag Dave: Phaere's tweaked her features a bit. The eyes are definitely altered. The nose looks thinner, and the ears are certainly not her own. ;)
yeah I don't know what is wrong with it. It just seems like the head and chin are twisted in odd ways. Definately not as good as usual but a lot better than I could ever do.

Whether AJ's face is all 'natural' can be doubted too, but that's something comletely different... ;)

Hmmm... I have some problems with the lighting here. I know it's terribly difficult to turn a flashlighted face (bright, cold, blue, unnatural, no shadows) into a lovely looking portrait. Well, this is a good example of that difficulty.
You still see the actress smiling into the camera and ... >>flash
