((UPDATE-- included a pic of the original NWN portrait)) NOTE -- MASSIVELY ALTERED NEVERWINTER PORTRAIT. I wanted to make a new portrait but I was too lazy to make anything up from scratch so...I took a nwn portrait and played around with it...^,^;;; The first one came out looking too sweet so I played around with it some more and tried to give her a rugged look. I also put her into a more wintery setting. Hope ya like! :-D

Forgot to add something to my previous comment...
If you do use the override folder to replace the NWN portrait with DeviantTrace's version, players online will not see Deviant's version, but the original.

To replace the NWN portrait that this one is based on with DeviantTrace's version, stick it in the override folder and change the file name to: po_dw_f_10_

Actually, the left version could be the inexperienced warrior, while the right version is the experienced same warrior, now an epic character. Great!

A skinny woman can be very strong. I think it's great!

Well, runes, sigils or swooshy lines, they look magical and wonderful. (BTW, thanks for the rune facts, Balgin.)
She doesn't need to be dwarven or a heavy frontline fighter. Not all fighters are Rock type fighters. She's ideal for a light, maneuverable fighter. She's the type that zips in and out of the enemy's reach at HER convenience and reduces her opponents to ribbons before they know what hit them.
True. Perhaps she does look too skinny. I guess I wanted her to look thinner cause she's been traveling a lot...or something 0_o But still, maybe she is too much on the thin side, lol. And the glowing tattoos and stuff weren't meant to be runes. I just like to make random designs w/ a bunch of different strokes. I like swishy swooshy lines! :-D Thanks for your input! _________________________ ...long walk back to reality...

In my opinion these are good but you've lost the "rugged" look of the original. Narrowing the face made it seem out of place in the heavy armour and almost too skinny for a heavy frontline fighter type. I didn't like the glowing patterns myself (more like sigils than runes, runes are comprised of straight lines and all angles in a traditional rune are mutiples of 60 degrees, they all fit perfectly into a hexagon).

I've just been to see the original. I'm in awe.

Female dwarf? My cow! I have to see that for myself! Very cool. :D
Thanks a lot! Well, all the stuff you see in the right portrait that isn't in the left one was painted in myself. Sorry 'bout the blood. ^,^ The left portrait was what I was gonna leave it at after I altered the nwn pic, but it looked too boring...
The trees on the shield (whoa...i didn't even know they were there 0_o) were already on the original nwn portrait as were several other parts, so don't credit me too much on this portrait. ^^
Thanks again. I'm glad you like it! :-))))) And about the original NWN portrait -- it was a a female dwarf portrait. ^^ _________________________ ...long walk back to reality...

This vote is based on the right-hand portrait...the one with the runes and snow or fairy lights.
Posted by Olivia_Chillia at 2004-11-23 14:11:00 Voted 10.00 on 11/23/04
Oh, rats! I was thinking of Icewind Dale, so I'm not even close.
Okay, comments...
Right version: I love the rune lights (or however you call them). They really add to the portrait. Did you design them yourself or get them from another source? The small, messy strands of hair are a very nice touch. I'm not too jazzed about the blood, but the idea is excellent. The fairy dust looking stuff and the lighting is beautiful. Some people have entirely too much talent. ;) I want lessons!
Left version: This one is well done. I'm liking the little trees on her shield. The whole thing has a nice, painted look. Sadly, it lacks the WOW factor the right-hand one has.
My vote will be based on the right-hand one. And I'll be downloading this!
Warrior woman with the dark hair. Hmmmm...not sure if we're thinking of the same one. I guess I should also say that the original was not human. :-/ _________________________ ...long walk back to reality...

I know which one, I think. It's the warrior woman with the dark hair. You've done an amazing job with this.
I have to run to work now, but I'll be back to study, comment and vote later.
