A female drow that I drew in Paintshop Pro for no reason in particular. A smattering of references used to aid in drawing the face. There's actually a little more to the drawing (which is displayed in the large thumbnail) than there is in the game portrait.

Update: I edited the colors so that they are as I drew them to be. They would have been correct the first time around, but my monitor was far too dark and I had to compensate in order to see them on my screen. Unfortunately, as it turns out, they were far too light when viewed on a proper monitor display.

You really managed to capture the intelligence and subtle savagery of the dark elf mind. Kudos.

Beautifully done, thought indeed Drow should be darker, but it's a common issue with many Drow portraits and if it's *too* dark it tends to lose detail which here would be a pity.

Great portrait indeed but the only drawback is her face looks for human then elven, great job regardless.

Unfortunately, this isn't how I wanted it to look. My monitor was dying (*far* too dark) when I drew this last week, and the colors are all wrong due to my having to compensate for brightness. It's supposed to be a great deal darker. :/ I just got my new monitor and have since adjusted the color appropriately, but have no idea how to update it since I never get the e-mail after submitting stating how to change a submission.
I've since sent the webmaster an e-mail and resubmitted it, but if it's at all possible for someone to tell me how to edit past submissions, I'd really appreciate it.

"Dark" or not "dark" is a question of personal opinion - but this is a very well done painting.

Since I´m not all that familiar with the world of Dungeons and Dragons (I always played a Swedish RPG, not classical D&D) I actually prefer the evil drows with a pale greyish skin. In my playworld that is the correct color for a dark elf living deep below. Pale and eerie...
Wonderful portrait!

On the technique: excellent work, especially the hairs look very detailed. Great work on that. :)
On the character: I normally hate the standard rules on how to make races, etc. But in this case I would have to say she could be a tad darker. Drow are after all dark elves, and she looks more grey now.
Other than that: really nice. :D
