I think the picture seems more like dusk--and not all vampires have to avoid sunlight. It's dependant on what game system you play and the whim of the dm involved.
Or the writers. Not all vampires are undead even.

I like this pic. Fair enough, it may not be the best depiction of a vampire (what with the sunlight and all) but still... the detail is incredible. Maybe if you just lost the blood and said he was a "noble warrior" instead. That might appease the folks who judge on "realism" over artistic merit. My only knock overall is that I'm not a huge Jude Law fan :)
Out of curiousity, are those light rays coming down on the top left hand side of the pic or is it a texture thing in the background? If it's the former it might be nice to put some backlighting and highlights on his right shoulder/head. Just a thought. Nice work.

I did a bare-fang picture with my female vampire, so I didn't feel the need to do that again.
I like him how he is, and he could be used for something else also ofcourse.

I've never posted a comment on your work before Phaere, but I've always been a big fan, and have downloaded my fair share of your stunning portraits. I'm commenting on this one because it seems to me that this vampire is standing in daylight...at least, it looks like daylight behind him. Otherwise, great work as usual.

Because the handle is so dark in comparison to the strip of metal running up the front of his armor, my initial impression was that he was stabbing himself...only the fact that wouldn't make sense made me look closer and realize what was really going on. You might want to work on the contrast so the handle is more readily visible. Right now you can barely see it.
