Darjahn is a warrior in disguise, always riding her horse like a noblewoman through the city on the look-out for evil. She was born of several nameless models. I've spend a lot of time on getting the entire picture right, and somehow during the making the idea grew of her riding a horse. The horse is not actually visible but I like the impression of it. I used quite a lot of pictures in this one, tried to use some textures and different cloths together. Let me know what you think of this one. Update: Mr_Dave made me aware of a rather silly mistake. The arrow is now on the other side of the bow.
DO you know why you stick two fingers up to insult people? well the archer could take that discipline into effect, unless she wants friction burns >. _________________________ The HandCannon now fires unfinite bullets, Gotta Love it!

Are you sure the arrow is on the right side of the bow? Because when you fire a bow, you rest the arrow on your thumb, and this doesn't appear to be the case in this image.

Really fantastic archer portrait! I love the background and the details of her garb. My only crit is that the position of the hand is incorrect. Archers generally draw with the palm toward the cheek, the thumb touching or nearly touching the cheekbone. But otherwise a very nice job.

To further the nitpick of Mr Dave... while the arrow is now on the proper side, the fletchings, feathers, are not. The feather on the inside would rip from the arrow as it slide across the bow in this case.
And pinch grips are mean when trying to fire a bow... (especially if it were a longbow... 100+ pounds? Ow) my two cents.
Otherwise it's quite good, I'm quite the fan of your artwork

While she looks well put together (head, hair, robes, and arms and seem to be in the right spot), what struck me immediately about this image is that she's looking about 45 degrees to the right, and above of the target at which she's aiming the bow. Maybe this would work for a zen-archer or a blind archer (she does have a white glaze over her eyes), but inherently it's rather distracting. I have no doubt that this took a lot of time to create, but ultimately I think this detail really pulls away from the overall image.

Yes, except my first three additions all my portraits are photo-manipulations. I really try to make them whole, but sometimes I do fail miserably, usually with pieces of armour, etc.
Thanks :)

This is a photomanip, right? You really did an excellent job with it. The elements are blended so well that it is difficult to tell.
