This one kind of looks like a halfling to me. Update: The base pic came from models.com, so as much as she may look like any number of famous or semi-famous actresses, she isn't one. Update, part 2: I officially can't read. There I was, trying all kinds of things in Photoshop, and the problem was just the length of the filenames. I've renamed the files, so they should work fine now, but anyone who downloaded them earlier can just shorten the filenames.
I like images like these. Great for the game without being too "busy". Keep up the great work. _________________________ World of Aenea (Hall of Fame PW and the origin of all my works)

I have had around 50 people write me for help from the Blackguard series and around 75 for help in the shadowlord/Dreamcatcher series. Probably around another 100 for help in various other modules like Trial of Spirit and Monks Challenge. The reason is that they have seen my answers to other questions posted on the module page and they send e-mail to me for help. The mail for Blackguard 2 got so bad I removed my e-mail address. There was a spammer there and nobody could read through the previous posts so since I was so active they sent questions to me. My blood pressure is very high along with my pulse rate. I need to just let things go. I just can't turn away someone who needs help but it is so frustrating when they can't even say thanks for doing a lot of work.
I will change my vote on your Necromancer portrait. When your portraits came out there were 4 others who also did not work and 1 of those even crashed NWN if you made a new character and selected the portrait button or went to change the portrait for a current character. The portrait was of Jessica Alba as a rogue. You didn't even get to see the portrait selection before crashing. That one was removed after my report. I wonder how many of those who downloaded that portrait don't know why NWN keeps crashing and can't fix it.
If you could make a female monk portrait like Callie by Amalthea that would be great or one of your own ideas. That is my favorite portrait. If you keep up the good work on portraits you should become well known here. Again I am sorry for my previous comments.
Wow - who are you that over 200 people would ask you for help on their modules? I'm impressed that you had the patience to deal with so many before giving up. (Though it can't be good for your blood pressure to get so worked up about every such incident. I notice you were angry enough to go take it out on my necromancer, too.) Anyhow, I'm sorry I didn't acknowledge your efforts earlier.
I'll probably make at least one female monk, though for the moment I'm working on female dwarves and gnomes, since they seem to be in even shorter supply than monks. (Anything you particularly want? I can do a custom one for you as a peace offering, if you like.)

Good job now that it is fixed.

Why don't we both just forget it. The reason I was getting aggrivated is that I have had over 200 people e-mail me for help on various modules. I always helped them and even spent time looking at things in the toolset for them. Not one of them has ever sent me an e-mail saying thanks. I have since removed my e-mail address. Try spending all that time and not even having 1 person thank you and you may feel like I do.
Don't worry about thanking me. I guess I am just too sensitive about it. In the future I will know better than to help anyone. I will just ignore e-mails and not post solutions to problems.
I think you made a good portrait here. I hope you won't let one crazy person stop you from making more. How about a female monk portrait. Not too many of them.
I apologize for the slight, but I honestly did not see that you had posted the fix until just a few days ago, for the same reason I didn't get around to seriously working on the problem for nearly a month - my new job was sucking up all my time. Why do you think two weeks went by between your post identifying the problem and my update? If I'd known someone else was going to help, I would have checked back here more often and properly thanked anyone who offered a solution, but I didn't expect anyone else to put any effort into fixing something that was my fault.
Now that I have some free time again, I was thinking of doing a few more portraits, but if I'm just going to get yelled at for not being able to provide top-quality customer service I might not bother.

I did not say anything until after you updated the portrait and listed the fix I posted. I find it amazing that you found the problem after I already listed the problem and then you can't even say thanks for going to the effort of finding the problem. Don't worry. I will never help someone with portraits again. I was just trying to be nice and help someone with a problem that had them baffled.
And I appreciate that you brought the problem to my attention in the first place - I haven't had time to play in even longer, so who knows how long it would have taken me to find the problem on my own.
By the way, are you the same Dwayne who once got angry with someone on the Bioware boards for not thanking you for your help within 24 hours of your posting it? I vaguely recall seeing someone named Dwayne give advice, and then a day later post a message saying something like, "Thank you Dwayne. I always thank people like Dwayne because if you don't thank them they might stop helping."
Actually, I hadn't had time to check this site for a while, and found the problem on my own (though still some time after you posted). Thanks anyway, though.

Not even a thank you for finding the problem. See when I help jerks again. I spent some time trying to help someone and they can't even say thanks. Don't bother now.

By the way. I revoted back to my original score. I think this is a great portrait. Good job.

I found your problem You just named the portrait incorrectly. I renamed it and no problems. Just rename each portrait. I used fwizard_h fwizard_l etc.

On this site there is a program for Photoshop 7 that does all the work for you. If you don't have Photoshop 7 you can e-mail me the base portrait and I will do it. I will then send it back to you to post.
Okay, now I'm completely confused. My druid and rogue portraits work fine in the game, but this one and the necromancer are blank. I have no idea what I could have done differently, but I'll mess with them and see.
Hmmm - I was careful to follow the custom portrait instructions on the Bioware site, so I'm not entirely sure what could be causing it to not work. My suspicion is that my old version of Photoshop (5.5) is incompatible with the NWN format; Bioware's instructions said the portrait files should be 24-bit uncompressed Targas, but when I try to save my Targa files, I don't get a choice between compressed and uncompressed, and the help index doesn't have any associations between compression and Targas.
My portraits work in my external Javascript character creator, but I suspect that it's less finicky than the game itself. I'll see what I can do.

Nice portrait but IT DOES NOT WORK! Did you even try using the portrait? All I get is a blank space. Tried it again and the same thing. Test it before posting. If you ever get it fixed I will change my vote.

I don't think she's anyone famous, though; I don't like portraits that are based on people I recognize, so I only use anonymous models from sites like models.com.
