This was tough work for me, though it may look like i made it in a flash. I'm tired of the lack of charming, hot males in NWN! I decided not to give him proper clothes on, since it was too hard to find a fitting picture for his special pose. I did like the outcome however. He is perfect for a charming Tiefling character (Sorcerer, Acolyte of the skin, perhabs even bard), relying on his charms and illusions. I used a lot of time following up on filters i used.

I like this. Very close to the tiefling image in my mind. And his little horns made him kinda cutie. :) Very good work. Congrats and thanks for sharing it.

I agree with Olivia_Chillia, good backgrounds are definitely underrated, and I think the lens flare is slightly out of place. Both horns seem a little too bright, and the one on the right needs some hair covering up its base.
I also agree with Olivia's, "It's about time we got some beefcake portraits" lol simply hilarious. _________________________ soundless tones of dreamers tongue

Oh. Forgot to say the _left_ horn looks well blended with the rest of the picture. Hooray for Apricane. :D

I like this one. It's about time we got some beefcake portraits. ;-P
I'm not sure about the lens flare. The right horn needs a little work. It looks pasted in. And I'm not sure about the pendant. It looks gigantic and obvious, you know?
Other than that it is beautiful. You've done a lovely job with the colors. And the background (good backgrounds are underrated) is wonderful.
Finally, even though you're using photographic sources you do a good job of transforming it into original art. I'm SO sick of seeing submission after submission of ripped, copyrighted art. Seeing someone go to the trouble of making new art out of old material is refreshing.
Looking forward to your next submission.
Thank you, for that encouraging comment :) I agree on the pendant- It's very tough though, to make it look more natural without altering the proportions too dramatically- again, it was a choice i made, so that the overall feel would be more impressive (i dont know if that made sense).
As for hiding his nature- The portrait was made to make him look evil- this tiefling follows the tradition of most tieflings- they are evil and dread creatures.
Maybe i will make a second version however, where he isnt entirely evil? Would anyone want that?

Personally I think it could look a lot better with some of the details changed, but overall, another great portrait. Thanks.

I've got to agree as well, most of my male characters end up with a "class" portrait due to the lack of interesting male portraits. Anyway, this certainly fills a missing gap in male portraits (the only other real option for a Tiefling or maybe evil bard would be Valen's from HotU...who looks far from entirely masculine. :P )
A few points, though: I don't like the way his chain / skull pendant lies on his chest, it doesn't look quite right to me - it doesn't appear to lie with the correct "weight" on his chest, as if it is slightly floating. Also, his horns, and the overall colours used really scream "evil / unnatural". I personally think this would look a lot better if his evil or otherworldly nature was more subtle... But maybe I'm just looking at it wrong. :P
I couldn't even come close to producing anything like this kind of quality myself, and I don't understand a lot about digital art, so I can't offer any true constructive criticism...
In any case - very nice portrait again, Apricane, your work is always appreciated here. :)

I have to agree about there being almost no good male portraits, and by good I mean useable. When I think about it, my nwn- characters are most often females. I think this piece is one of your better, and he's definitely a bard, no discussion =) And I really like his edgy looks- face, muscels etc. Nice work!
