I'm getting back to NWN after a break of several months and thought i'd finally submit something to the vault. So, this is my first submission and i'm mostly hoping to get some comments from more experienced people, as this is the first pecil drawing i've ever coloured in Photoshop. It started life as a small quick pencil sketch in the corner of my character sheet, the background is a photo. I wanted the coloured picture to still look like a drawing so i didn't really aim for a photorealistic finish.
Beatrice is actually my character in a PnP Vampire:the Masquerade campaign set in modern-day Chicago. This is why she is wearing a modern dress and make-up in case anyone was wondering. I still thought she could be used in NWN as a magic user class or a noblewoman NPC. Her fangs are too small to be noticiable in the portrait size so i classified her as human, though she could probably pass for a half-elf as well.
Two sets of portraits included, the other beign a bit more close-cropped. I also played around a bit with the hue on that one. Any tips and comments are most welcome.
This is amazing. Im not certain how this works in your world, but the portrait has a ton of potential in a dm run mod.. picture this, the woman indroduces herself at the midnight ball, her portrait on everyone's screen... kent says to jay at the lan "hey... is it just me or does she look wierd?" and jay examines it and says "i... think she has fangs... better cast some holy protective type spell just to be certain" the fact the fangs are not obvious is a credit to this picture, you can throw in some exestintialisms in your mod while having this NPC masquarade as a mortal :)

Thank you for your kind words. In our Chronicle, Beatrice is indeed supposed to be both high born and filthy rich as well as beign a fashion trend-setter with an unmatched eye for style.. I'm glad you found it carries through in the portrait.

This is truly a wonderful portrait. I do not think the fangs are too hard to see since I could immediately tell, there was something 'odd' about her teeth. :) I especially like the little accessories such as the arm band, the brooch, the necklace choker, the fingerless gloves - all showing that this lady is either very rich, high born, and elegant. Love the gorgeous background as well. Very rare that we get to see portraits that have interior settings. We usually see some male/female portrait and their posing by a tree or some grassy field or some such. :) Excellent work.

Wow! I love how the eyes are done! And the transparency effect is also very nice! _________________________ Timmmeahhhhhhhhh!!!!!
