Graz'zt is my first contribution to the Greyhawk Adventures Team. Visit us here: http://nwn.bioware.com/guilds_registry/viewguild.html?gid=12366
He is a character from the Greyhawk setting, a powerful demon prince! I've modeled him after the description, though he is not entirely pitch black I tried to keep as close to the character as possible.
Technique: photo-collage, poser 4 for the body, painted hair, background, effects, relighting etc.
Created in photoshop 6.0.
Vy_Linvail: hey, you can always send stuff to me, I can't promise, but I might be interested. :)
And thanks.
Deva: it did show up at the front page, but nowadays the Vault is updated so regurlarly it is only featured a day and a half or so. Maybe we should think on a way to increase promotion, not just for this pic but for the entire team. :/

An amazing portrait as ever, I want to use on of Phaere's because they're all so excellent but i've not had the chance because none of them suit the character look/style.
I doubt you are but if you'd like an interesting request to design a Sorcerer/Rogue (Using the eyepatch CEP head) let me know and i'll send you a screenie. I know it's doubtful but i'll come back checking for replies to this post ^_^
In the meantime keep up the good work Phaere, it never ceases to amaze me.

I wonder why this portrait did not show up on the home page for the vault. The Aasimar showed up which was submitted days after this one. Hmmm... hopefully, it will show up there. Otherwise, it is only those who stumble upon it that will even know it is here.

I requested this and Phaere went to work masterfully making any suggestion I had. So, obviously I can have no complaints. I consider this work perfet.

Excellent. I requested this portrait from Phaere as she is a member of the Greyhawk Adventures Team. She gave us preview shots and we kept giving her suggestions and she improved it. She did this AMAZINGLY fast. She had the first version less than 24 hours after I posted this and a few other portrait ideas.
I sent her two scans from the 1st edition module S4 - The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth where Graz'zt and others first appeared.
I also sent her scans from 1st edition Monster Manual II.
I sent her a link to a photo of the 3rd edition version from the Book of Vile Darkness.
Ultimately, we liked the 1st edition version more. His notable features are being 8 feet tall, jet black skin, glowing green eyes, pointed ears, his two handed acid dripping curved sword, and six fingers and six toes.
Obviously, with the 3rd edition version they got rid of the six toes and went for the Satyr like legs instead.
We chose not to go that route.

dude... thats frickin awesome... i envy you ppl your skill at makin these... its just friggin sweet... keep makin em!
Apricane: I based this on the 1st edition Graz'zt. Only 3rd edition Graz'zt has goat legs and horns and thar gives him a more satyr like look. i've decided with other members at GAT we prefer the 1st edition version. So it is in fact a correct Graz'zt but an old version of him. ;)
Armin; yes I know. I'll check out your link, and thanks for that.
:D
