Thank you Lilly :) No, I didn't specifically base the look on Native Americans. I had my husband pose with a broom for this one and painted from there. However, my husband's stance and expression is the one that came through via the pose though the drow intentionally looks nothing like him.
I like drow to look like strong, bold and beautiful and try to paint them that way.

hmmm... well, the tatoos r pretty cool, overall its a pretty nice piece of work... i just hate drow... im sorry, but they're way too overrated... just my opinion though, nice work

This is the best Drow I have ever seen done. In fact I am wondering if you based the 'look' of your Drow upon the Native American Indians. I only assk this because your Drow have something about them that reminds me of this, perhaps the stance, or the bone structure. There is a quiet pride to this work (and your others) Thank you for sharing this work, THAT is how I always thought a Drow should look.
