By the way, I visited the link, and IMHO, since this is a picture connected with a commercial game (which I have playes BTW), you'd probably need to contact the company that published the game if you used the image for anything beyond personal use, rather than contacting the artist. :) Now, that's all I will say on the subject ;) _________________________ Never pass up a good opportunity!

According to my late uncle, who was a ciruit judge in Kentucky, you have can have a copy of anything for personal use :) But really, I think the main issue is if the artist work will be used for monetary gain. Let's hope that noone here will do that, as all submitted art here is to be used for non-profit, non-commercial purposes :) Now, let's please drop this. _________________________ Never pass up a good opportunity!
@EspyLacopa
I have no idea who the artist actually is. If you would like to track it down for me and post it here, I greatly apriciate it. I, however, just tried to contibute something back to the community that has given me a lot of enjoyment. Please feel free to investigate and let me know what you find.
Thanks,

Point is, it isn't absolutely necessary, and I REFUSE to get an artist name for every last picture I've grabbed from the net *laughs* That's just plain silly. I have THOUSANDS of pics I've gotten off the net, and over 2000 (or more) of them that are suitable (and appropriate) for this site! and in my portrait pack, of over 240 portraits, it would just take too long to list EVERY artist. Think of it this way, since none of us would use the art for commercial purposes, it's free advertisement for that artist. In addition, I haven't seen you HARASS anyone else over this point! Let it drop. _________________________ Never pass up a good opportunity!
It's really that hard to include the original Artist's name?

EspyLacopa, so long as blkcat1028 posts the disclaimer, he/she is fine. There are a bunch of sites with digital art on them that are suitable for portraits, including Larry Elmore's site (I've met the man personally, he's great!). As I said in another thread, what artists are truly concerned about is commercial apps that use their art, without paying them or at least asking permission and being giving due credit. Since all the art here is soley for non-profit use and personal use only, it doesn't matter. And thanks to people like blkcat1028 and myself, we have a larger collection of portraits to choose from here. Enough said. blkcat1028, you're l file only needs to be like the h file, but just half the size (that is, just scaled down, no other changes or crops). m size is hard to figure out, but I try to get the largest I can without losing too much detail. Sometimes I can get away with the m file being just halved from the l file (like above, just scaled down, no cropping, depending on the shot (usually if I have a picture from the hips up only in the l size, scaling to half size will work for the m size). The s file should be a bust-style shot, showing the pecks/breasts of the char, and the t size should be the face only. I found this works the best for the smaller portrait sizes. Keep in mind that about the only time you ever see the h size is when you're first selecting a portrait for your char in the beginning, after that, the largest one you see is the l size (in the character sheet), and you almost always view the m size the whole game in the upper right hand corner. So the l and m have to look good, and IMHO, should include as much as the character as you can without losing a lot of detail. If you have any questions about what talking about, pls. download my "Stephen's Portrait Pack 1" :) I'm giving you a 9.5 , but only because of my minor critisms :) The portrait is otherwise great. it looks like it could be used for Anya in the two best Eye of the Beholder mods in the vault :) _________________________ Never pass up a good opportunity!
