I'm not in a position to honor requests, but this was an intriguing one: a little Drow girl who torments small animals with sharp sticks. She resembles my own 10-year old, though I suppose she could pass for a teen... Original pencil drawing, painted using Photoshop.
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 31 that made this score of 8.17 then rounded to 8.

Excellent work! Thank you.

sporeboy!
Thanks! If and when the CEP gets around to doing a portrait hak, your stuff will definitely be in there!
Again, great work. (And I spelled my name wrong last post--only one 'e' DOH!)

Seeryn--no problem! You're welcome to use anything of mine you find here on the Vault.

sporeboy!
Your work is truly fantastic! I am a big fan.
On a somewhat related note, I'm also a member of the CEP (Community Expansion Pack) team, which is just a bunch of community content fans putting together a huge hak of all the great community contributions. If we put a portrait hak together, would you mind if the portraits you've posted to the Vault are included? I realize most (if not all) of your work is intended for CODI, so it's no big deal if you'd prefer for it not to be included in the CEP.
Either way, keep up the great work!

Dwarf women and beards:
AD&D = beards (not in 3rd ED anymore)
WFRP = no beards
Warhammer= no beards
RQ = no beards
TnT = no beards
RM = no beards
MERP = no beards
is the point getting through yet? You can blame Mr Gygax for that one or Mr Greenwood I think. Dwarf men though are another matter.

So let it be written, so let it be done ...
Heh. My patience is appeased. Perhaps you could somehow come to my place of work and get them to respect my wishes, as you have? No, no, wait. You can do wonders with pencil and paint, but I cannot ask you to do the impossible. :-)

Thanks to everyon for the positive comments! I'm not neccessarily a Drow fan either, but the race seems to have a large following. It may be a long time before I get around to a bearded Dwark-woman, but we'll see...
As to the pose/expression, to me, a smiling child holding a knife (cropped-out) is awfully scary. Besides, El Agua was losing patience with my scowling mug shots!

Yeah, that's a point I rarely ever seen a dwarf women with a beard in a portrait (or even dwarven portraits).
Very nice work again, I like the pose you put her in as well.

While I loathe the concept and the portrayal of drow more than any other D&D race, this picture is an excellent display of technicue and skill. It almost makes me rethink my opinion.... almost.
I would be interested what you could do in terms of a dwarf woman (with a beard, of course, for added difficulty =p).

The truly evil characters are the ones that keep their angelic smile while doing their deeds--this picture perfectly captures the beauty and evil of the drow. Again, totally great job!!

"but she doesn't really look like she could torment anything. :)"
Thats part of the true horror of the drow. they don't look all that evil :)

Gorgeous drawing, as always, but she doesn't really look like she could torment anything. :)

This is beautiful! And impressive that it came from a pencil drawing.

You did it again! A perfect 10. Just WOW!
I don't know if you take requests but due to the lack of your male portraits I'd like to see a male human or half-elven tanned bard. :)

lol funilly the smile is the only thing i kinda mind...its too good natured for a drow i think :)
but otherwise another masterpiece...great.

Easily your best. Why? Because of the smile. Makes it ten times better than your other portraits. It's not the technique. The technique is excellent in all of them. If there's one thing your other (humanoid) portraits are missing it's a lack of real expression. No big deal really, as they're done very well, but that simple smile on this young lady really punches this one up. Very nice!
