A lovely picture, the skin and lips' texture are first class.
Her eyes have a great moist look to them; however the first thing that came to mind when I saw them was that they look a bit crossed? I've taken a good step back from the picture and the pupils dont seem to be looking at the same point in space?
Apart from that very small imperfection, a gorgeous picture. The plain background helps I think by not taking the viewer's focus from the character.

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 18 that made this score of 8.00 then rounded to 8.

I think this kicks butt. She's got great eyes and she looks so... great. I voted it 9, with a better background it would have been 10. Awesome job. Keep it up.

Gorgeous! Very ethreal and pure looking, perfect for a paladin. I like the grayish cast to her hair and the unusual, pure color of her eyes- they make me think "wisdom" for some reason. Great job!

I love this portrait, makes me want to mend my rogue ways and be all righteous ;) Nicely done.

An ethereal beauty that can make you weak in the knees.

Maybe I'm just being too picky, but I find her hood kinda blends in with the wall too much. Maybe if it stood out a bit more.... Anyway, I love the face, especially the hair and eyes. good job

Thanks Kaelidan and Thought.

That hood doesn't work.
Particularly at the top.
It doesn't look like her head is inside the hood, but rather that her head just stops and then there is this 'thing' there.

I am hardly an expert about the "technical" aspects of portrait making, but the only thing I can say is that I have loved this portrait since I saw it in first place =)... Waiting anxiously to see your next works!

Thanks Platinum Dragon & Gyr falcon the gray,
Yeah, I doubt a full body shot would have any visible detail in the small and tiny sized portraits.
I'm using transmapped hair by Quarker with a texture by Goldtassel. I've recently learned some lighting tricks that help bring out the textures with more photorealism. I agree with ya about blank stares - though in this portrait her 'far off' gaze is deliberate.
Thanks for the comments and suggestions

Good first try! I see you're using Poser. Good job with the hair! I'm impressed if you rendered the hair entirely in Poser. I've never been able to get Poser hair to look like anything but scary sea-creatures, myself.
One of the things that can help give poser pictures a little more life is to avoid the "thousand-yard-stare" I would love to see those jade-green eyes looking at me. (I actually know a guy who has eyes that color...) Also where her chainmail meets the neck, you will need to add some shadow and edge painting so it looks like the chain is actually worn on top of her skin rather than just painted on there.
As to close-ups vs full body... I kind of like a 3/4 shot (from the thighs up) for the large preview picture, but definitely for the smaller pictres, I think the close-up shot is preferable. Otherwise you really can't see anything in-game.

I sorta prefer close ups, since what other peoples sees are sorta the important thing. It's nice and all when the huge shot has a full body shot, but on the small pics a full body shot doesn't allways get the details with...just my 2 cents anyway. Nice pic though...

Got the preview up. BTW I'm new at making portrait paks and would like to make many more so if you ladies and gents have preferences such as a close-up profile like this as opposed to a full body shot, please let me know.
Thanks again, Apricane and to Gina for taking pity on me - lotza luv. fin

Hmmm, I included a thumbnail and full size preview. Don't know why it got pitched. I'll try to update the file. Thanks, Apricane.
